Studies of Higgs bosons decaying to fermions with CMS / Salerno, Daniel Nicholas (Zurich U.) /CMS Collaboration This note reviews the latest results of searches for a Higgs boson decaying to fermions, including both Standard Model (SM) searches from Run I at $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV and Run II at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV and di-Higgs boson production from Run II. The measurements of the Higgs boson coupling to fermions from Run I of the LHC, both in final states and initial states are also presented.. CMS-CR-2016-100.- Geneva : CERN, 2016 - 5 p. Search for the $H\to hh\to bb\tau\tau$ and $A\to Zh\to ll\tau\tau$ processes with 8 TeV data in CMS. / Brivio, Francesco (INFN, Milan Bicocca) /CMS Collaboration In this presentation I will report on the search for the heavy boson H decaying to a pair of 125 GeV SM-like Higgs bosons $h$ using the final state of two $\tau$ leptons and two $b$-jets and the search for a heavy boson A decaying to a SM-like Higgs boson $h$ and a $Z$ boson using the final state of two $\tau$ leptons and two leptons $\ell\ell$ ($ee$ or $\mu\mu$). The mass range considered in the analysis extends from $m_{A/H} \simeq 250$ GeV up to $m_{A/H} \simeq 350$ GeV. The analysis is performed on a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity $\mathcal{L} = 19.7\ fb^{-1}$ of proton-proton collision data collected in 2012 by the CMS experiment at $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV.. Comparison of CMS Resistive Plate Chambers performance during LHC RUN-1 and RUN-2 / Shah, Mehar Ali (Quaid-i-Azam U.) /CMS Collaboration The Resistive Plate Chambers detector system at the CMS experiment at the LHC provides robustness and redundancy to the muon trigger. A total of 1056 double-gap chambers cover the pseudo-rapidity region lt 1.6. [...] CMS-CR-2016-088.- Geneva : CERN, 2016 - 8 p. Detector Control System for CMS RPC at GIF++ / Gul, Muhammad (Gent U.) /CMS Collaboration In the framework of the High Luminosity LHC upgrade program, the CMS muon groupbuilt several different RPC prototypes that are now under test at the new CERN Gamma Irradiation Facility (GIF++). A dedicated Detector Control System has been developed using the WinCC-OA tool to control and monitor these prototype detectors and to store the measured parameters data.. Measurement of the Higgs transverse momentum spectrum in ${\rm H} \to {\rm W}^+{\rm W}^- \to 2l2\nu$ at $\sqrt{s}=8$~TeV / Russo, Lorenzo (INFN, Florence) /CMS Collaboration A measurement of the Higgs boson transverse momentum spectrum, performed by the CMS experiment data at the LHC, is presented. The analysis selects ${\rm H} \to {\rm W}^+ {\rm W}^- \to 2l2\nu$ decays in the data sample of proton-proton collision at $\sqrt{s} = 8$~TeV, corresponding on integrated luminosity of 19.4 ${\rm fb}^{-1}$ . R and D on a New Technology of Micro-pattern Gaseous Detectors Fast Timing Micro-pattern Detector / Salva Diblen, Sinem (Gent U.) /CMS Collaboration After the upgrades of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) planned for the second and the third Long Shutdown (LS), the LHC luminosity will approach very high values. Such conditions will affect the performance of the CMS muon system, especially in the very forward region, due to the harsh expected background environment and high pile-up conditions. SUSY searches at the LHC Run2 / Giordano, Ferdinando (INFN, Catania ; Catania U.) /ATLAS and CMS Collaborations After a period of maintenance the LHC was restarted in 2015 delivering p-p collision at a new center of mass energy of 13 TeV, this new achievement by the machine opened the phase space of many searches for physics beyond the standard model (BSM). In this talk a summary of the LHC searches for supersymmetry (SUSY) pursued by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations is presented, covering a broad number of models and scenarios. Charge distribution dependency on gap thickness of CMS endcap RPC / Park, Sung Keun (Korea U.) /CMS Collaboration We present a systematic study of charge distribution dependency of CMS Resistive Plate Chamber (RPC) on gap thickness.Prototypes of double-gap with five different gap thickness from 1.8mm to 1.0mm in 0.2mm steps have been built with 2mm thick phenolic high-pressure-laminated (HPL) plates. The charges of cosmic-muon signals induced on the detector strips are measured as a function of time using two four-channel 400-MHz fresh ADCs. [...] CMS-CR-2016-073.- Geneva : CERN, 2016 - 9 p.
