Diffractive processes in pp collisions at 7 TeV measured with the CMS experiment / Brona, Grzegorz Konrad (Warsaw U.) /CMS Collaboration
The differential diffractive cross section is measured as a function of $\xi= M_X^2/s$ in the region dominated by single dissociation (SD) and double dissociation (DD), where $M_X$ is the mass of one of the two final-state hadronic systems separated by the largest rapidity gap in the event. The cross section is also measured as a function of the width of the central rapidity gap in the region dominated by DD, as well as for events with a forward gap over 8.4 units of pseudorapidity. Two-particle correlations in pp collisions at 13 TeV measured with CMS / Dogra, Sunil (SAO_PAULO) /CMS Collaboration
Results on two-particle angular correlations for charged particles emitted in $pp$ collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV are presented as a function of charged-particle multiplicity and transverse momentum $(p_{T})$. In high$-$multiplicity events, a long-range $(\mid \eta \mid> 2.0)$, near-side $(\Delta \phi = 0)$ structure emerges in the two-particle $\Delta\eta - \Delta\phi $ correlation functions. [...]

Planar n-in-n silicon detectors with small pitches and slim edges are being investigated for the innermost layers of tracking devices for the foreseen upgrades of the LHC.
