Design and performance of the upgrade of the CMS L1 muon trigger / Bortignon, Pierluigi (Florida U.) /CMS Collaboration
After the Long Shutdown 1 (LS1) LHC will run at a center of mass energy of 13TeV, providing CMS with proton collisions at an expected luminosity which is almost double the LHC design value of $10^{34} \text{cm}^{-2}\text{s}^{-1}$, and almost three times the peak luminosity reached during Run1 of $7.7\cdot10^{33} \text{cm}^{-2}\text{s}^{-1}$. The higher luminosity and center of mass energy of the LHC will raise the Level 1 (L1) muon trigger rate by almost a factor six for a given muon transverse momentum $\text{p}_{\text{T}}$ threshold. Fibre Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors as flatness and mechanical stretching sensors / Benussi, Luigi (Frascati) /CMS Collaboration
Fibre Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors have been so far mainly used in high energy physics as high precision positioning and re-positioning sensor and as low cost, easy to mount and low space consuming temperature sensors. FBGs are also commonly used for very precise strain measurements. [...]

The CMS Pixel Luminosity Telescope / Kornmayer, Andreas (Karlsruhe U., EKP) /CMS Collaboration
The Pixel Luminosity Telescope is a new complement to the CMS detector for the LHC Run II data taking period. It consists of eight 3-layer telescopes based on silicon pixel detectors that are placed around the beam pipe on each end of CMS viewing the interaction point at small angle. [...]

Bose-Einstein correlations in various collision systems and energies measured with the CMS experiment / Padula, Sandra (SAO_PAULO) /CMS Collaboration
Two-particle, quantum-statistical (Bose-Einstein) correlations are measured with the CMS experiment in pp collisions at 0.9, 2.76 and 7 TeV center-of-mass energies, as well as in pPb and peripheral PbPb collisions, respectively at 5.02 and 2.76 TeV center-of-mass energy per nucleon. The analysis is performed as a function of both the charged particle multiplicity and the average transverse pair momentum. [...]

Study of hadronic event-shape variables in multijet final states in pp collisions at 7 TeV / Bhowmik, Sandeep (Tata Inst.) /CMS Collaboration
Event-shape variables, which are sensitive to perturbative and nonperturbative aspects of quantum chromodynamic (QCD) interactions, are studied in multijet events recorded in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV. Events are selected with at least one jet with transverse momentum $p_T > 110$ GeV and pseudorapidity $\mid\eta\mid > 2.4$, in a data sample corresponding to integrated luminosities of up to $5 fb^{-1}$. Searches for new heavy resonances and extra dimensions at CMS / Romeo, Francesco (Beijing, Inst. High Energy Phys.) /CMS Collaboration
Final states with a pair of particles are sensitive to many models beyond the Standard Model (SM) and allow for a clean search for both new narrow resonances and broad deviations from SM predictions. The most recent results from searches with dijets, dileptons, and leptons plus missing transverse energy are presented using 19.7 fb-1 of pp collision data collected by the CMS detector with sqrt(s) = 8 TeV at the LHC. Recent highlights from SUSY searches at CMS / Rathjens, Denis (Hamburg U.) /CMS Collaboration
In these proceedings, the latest results of the CMS collaboration on searches for supersymmetric particle (sparticle) production at the LHC are reviewed. A variety of complementary final state signatures and methods are presented using 20 fb$^{-1}$ of data from the $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV LHC run.\\ The variety of searches shown ranges from an inclusive all-jet search for strong production of sparticles over a search employing $\tilde{t}$-tagging techniques and a search for a di-leptonic mass edge, jets and ${E\!\!\!\!\!/_{\rm T}}$ to the first search for vector boson fusion (VBF) production of $\tilde{\tau}$ in a compressed mass-spectrum scenario.
