Search for Higgs bosons beyond the Standard Model in b-quark final states at CMS / Mankel, Rainer (DESY) /CMS Collaboration While the existence of a Higgs boson with a mass near 125 GeV has been clearly established, the detailed structure of the entire Higgs sector is yet unclear. Besides the standard model interpretation, well-motivated models with extended Higgs sectors are being considered. [...] CMS-CR-2015-188.- Geneva : CERN, 2015 - 8 p. Measurement of differential cross sections in top pair production with the CMS detector / Husemann, Ulrich (Karlsruhe U., EKP) /CMS Collaboration Measurements of differential cross sections for top quark-antiquark production are presented as a function of kinematic variables, jet multiplicities, and event-level observables. The measurements are based on proton-protoncollision data recorded with the CMS detector during Run I of the CERN Large Hadron Collider at center-of-mass energies of7 TeV and 8 TeV.. Nuclear modification of hadron and jet spectra with CMS / Tonjes, Marguerite Belt (Maryland U.) /CMS Collaboration The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment measures various stages of nuclear collisions utilizing the different types of beams from the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). PbPb collisions can provide remarkable insight into the final state effects, such as jet quenching. [...] CMS-CR-2015-183.- Geneva : CERN, 2015 - 5 p. Open Heavy Flavor Measurement in heavy ion collisions with CMS / Wang, Ta-Wei (MIT) /CMS Collaboration The study of heavy quark production may reveal critical features of the medium produced in heavy ion collisions as heavy quarks are sensitive to the transport properties of the medium and may interact differently from light quarks. Non-prompt $J/\psi$ and b jet produced in both 5.02 TeV pPb as well as 2.76 TeV PbPb collision data have been measured with the CMS detector as a function of both rapidity and transverse momentum. Fully reconstructed B mesons in pPb data were also analyzed and along with these measurements, the nuclear modification factors constructed using either a theoretically calculated pp reference or CMS pp collision data will be presented for each analysis and collision systems.. Flow of strange and charged particles in pPb and PbPb collisions at LHC energies / Tu, Zhoudunming (Rice U.) /CMS Collaboration Observation of a long-range near-side two-particle correlation (known as theRidge'') in high-multiplicity pPb and pp collisions opened up new opportunities of exploring novel QCD dynamics in small collision systems. Latest CMS results in pPb and PbPb collisions will be shown: (1) The multi-particle correlation in pPb collisions will be presented for the high multiplicity events, indicating the collective behavior in small collision systems. Searches for BSM Higgs bosons at the LHC / Magnan, Anne-marie (Imperial Coll., London) /ATLAS and CMS Collaborations Recent results on searches for Beyond Standard Model production of Higgs bosons at the LHC by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations are presented. Minimal supersymmetric models (MSSM), next-to-minimal supersymmetric models (NMSSM) and generic two-higgs-doublet models (2HDM) are explored. [...] CMS-CR-2015-171.- Geneva : CERN, 2015 - 5 p. Prompt and non-prompt J/$\psi$ production in pPb collisions with CMS / Lee, Songkyo (Korea U.) /CMS Collaboration The mechanisms of charmonium production in the high-density medium created in heavy ion collisions are still not quantitatively understood. In order to disentangle among different mechanisms which changes the charmonium cross section, a multi-dimensional analysis is needed in a wide kinematic range and in various collision systems (pp, pA and AA). Jet-track correlations with CMS / Velicanu, Dragos Alexandru (MIT) /CMS Collaboration Jet quenching is one of the established signatures of the Quark Gluon Plasma, and this phenomenon has been studied extensively in high energy heavy ion experiments over the last decade. Despite significant progress made in those studies, the specifics of the energy loss mechanisms and the details of jet-medium interactions require further quantitative understanding. Measurements of top-quark properties at the LHC / Beernaert, Kelly Simone (Gent U.) /ATLAS and CMS Collaborations Measurements of several top-quark properties are presented, obtained from the ATLAS and CMS data collected in 2011 and 2012 at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. The results include measurements of the top pair charge asymmetry, the top quark polarization in pair production and single top production, the W helicity in top decays. Test of QCD at Colliders / Savin, Alexander (Wisconsin U., Madison) /ATLAS and CMS Collaborations The QCD tests that have beenperformed recently at the LHC extends significantly kinematic regions explored previously at the Tevatron. Production of jets, measured with high experimental precission, allow for comparison with different theoretical models and extraction of quantities important for standard model predictions.
