Energy and multiplicity dependence of strange and non-strange particle production in proton-proton collisions at the LHC with ALICE / Fionda, Fiorella Maria Celeste (Bergen U.) /ALICE Collaboration
,The study of energy and multiplicity dependence of hadron production in proton-proton collisions provides a powerful tool to understand similarities and differences between small and large colliding systems. In this work we present mid-rapidity measurements of the pT spectra and yields of identified hadrons, namely pions, kaons, protons, $K_{s}^{0}$, $\Lambda$, $\Xi$  and $\Omega$ in pp collisions at  $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 and 13 TeV. $J/\psi$ production in proton-lead collisions at 8 TeV with the LHCb detector / Okhrimenko, Oleksandr (Kiev, INR) /LHCb Collaboration
The production of J/ψ mesons is studied in proton-lead collisions at a centre-of-mass energy per nucleon pair $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 8.16 TeV with the LHCb detector. The double differential cross-sections of prompt and nonprompt J/ψ production are measured as functions of the J/ψ transverse momentum and rapidity. [...]

Estimation of the isothermal compressibility from event-by-event multiplicity fluctuation studies / Mukherjee, Maitreyee (Bose Inst., Kolkata ; CAPSS, Kolkata) ; Basu, Sumit (Wayne State U.) ; Thakur, Sanchari (Calcutta, VECC) ; Adhya, Souvik P (Calcutta, VECC) ; Chatterjee, Arghya (Calcutta, VECC) ; Chatterjee, Sandeep (AGH-UST, Cracow) ; Nayak, Tapan K (Calcutta, VECC ; CERN)
The first estimation of the isothermal compressibility ($_{k_T}$) of matter is presented for a wide range of collision energies from $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$   = 7.7 GeV to 2.76 TeV. $_{k_T}$ is estimated with the help of event-byevent charged particle multiplicity fluctuations from experiment. [...]

Production of (anti-)(hyper-)nuclei at LHC energies with ALICE / Puccio, Maximiliano (Turin U. ; INFN, Turin) /ALICE Collaboration
The ALICE experiment at the LHC has measured a variety of (anti-)(hyper-)nuclei produced in Pb–Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV and at 2.76 TeV. In addition, a large sample of high quality data was collected in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$  = 7 TeV and 13 TeV and in p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV. [...]

Strange hadron production in pp, pPb, and PbPb collisions at LHC energies / Ni, Hong (Vanderbilt U.) /CMS Collaboration
Identified particle spectra provide an important tool for understanding the particle production mechanism and the dynamical evolution of the medium created in relativistic heavy ion collisions. Studies involving strange and multi-strange hadrons, such as $K_{s}^{0}$, Λ, and $\Xi^-$, carry additional information since there is no net strangeness content in the initial colliding system. [...]

Strangeness production in Pb-Pb collisions at LHC energies with ALICE / Šefčík, Michal (Kosice U.) /ALICE Collaboration
The results on the production of strange and multi-strange hadrons ($K_{s}^{0}$, $\wedge$ , $\Xi$  and $\Omega$) measured with ALICE in Pb-Pb collisions at the top LHC energy of $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$  = 5.02 TeV are reported. Thanks to its excellent tracking and particle identification capabilities, ALICE is able to measure weakly decaying particles through the topological reconstruction of the identified hadronic decay products. $\phi$ meson production at forward rapidity in pp and Pb–Pb collisions with ALICE at the LHC / De Falco, Alessandro (Cagliari U. ; INFN, Cagliari) /ALICE Collaboration
The ALICE Collaboration has measured $\phi$ meson production in the dimuon channel at the forward rapidity (2.5 < $\mathit{y}$ < 4) in pp and Pb–Pb collisions at several center of mass energies. Results in pp collisions at center of mass energies $\sqrt{s}$ = 5.02 and 8 TeV are reported. [...]

A warm and friendly memorial session for Helmut Oeschler / Cleymans, Jean (Cape Town U.) ; Hippolyte, Boris (Strasbourg, IPHC) ; Kalweit, Alexander (CERN) ; Müntz, Christian (Frankfurt U., Inst. Kernphys.) ; Stroth, Joachim (Frankfurt U., Inst. Kernphys. ; Darmstadt, GSI)
A full session was organized in memory of Helmut Oeschler during the 2017 edition of the Strangeness in Quark Matter Conference. It was heart-warming to discuss with the audience his main achievements and share anecdotes about this exceptionally praised and appreciated colleague, who was also a great friend for many at the conference. Heavy flavour production at RHIC and LHC / Innocenti, Gian Michele (MIT)
In this proceedings, I present selected experimental results on heavy-flavour production at RHIC and at the LHC, which were presented at the Strangeness in Quark Matter 2017 conference. I will present a brief introduction to the heavy-flavour physics in heavy ion collisions and I will focus on recents measurements of in-medium energy loss and and collective properties of heavy-flavour particles, which provided important information on the mechanisms of heavy flavour interaction with the hot and dense medium created in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions..

News from the NA61/SHINE experiment / Šuša, Tatjana (Boskovic Inst., Zagreb) /NA61/SHINE Collaboration
The main goals of the NA61/SHINE experiment at the CERN SPS are the search for the critical point of strongly interacting matter and the study of the properties of the onset of deconfinement. These aims are pursued by performing a two-dimensional scan of the phase diagram of strongly interacting matter by varying the momentum and size of the colliding nuclei. This contribution summarises the latest results from the NA61/SHINE experiment, in particular, new results on spectra and yields of $\phi$ meson in p+p interactions at 40, 80 and 158 GeV/c and $K^{+}$ and $K^{-}$ production in central Be+Be collisions at mid-rapidity.
