Study of the radiation induced effects in the LHCb Vertex Locator / Szumlak, Tomasz (AGH-UST, Cracow) /LHCb VELO Group
LHCb is a dedicated heavy-flavour physics experiment at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. The VErtex LOcator (VELO) is a critical part of a LHCb tracking system, enabling the full topological reconstruction of beauty and charm mesons’ decays and providing essential input for the High Level Trigger (HLT) system used by the experiment to select events. Recent results from LHCb / Oblakowska-Mucha, A (AGH-UST, Cracow)
The LHCb detector is a single-arm forward spectrometer that collects data at the LHC. In this review, a few of recent results in the field of $b$-hadron decays performed by the LHCb Collaboration are presented. [...]

Azimuthal asymmetries of hadrons produced in muon SIDIS off longitudinally polarized deuterons / Savin, I A (Dubna, JINR) /COMPASS
The azimuthal asymmetries in the cross sections of charged-hadron production in the muon SIDIS reactions off the longitudinally polarised deuterons are determined using the COMPASS data of 2006 and combined data of 2002-2006. The asymmetries are presented as functions of the hadron azimuthal angle ϕ in two ways: first, for hadrons integrated over the kinematic variables and, second, as a function of one of the kinematic variables x, z or p(h)(T) while integrating over two other. [...]

The gluon contribution to the Sivers effect COMPASS results / Kurek, Krzysztof (Warsaw, Inst. Nucl. Studies) ; Szabelski, Adam (Warsaw, Inst. Nucl. Studies) /COMPASS
The Sivers effect describes the correlation between the spin of the nucleon and the orbital motion of partons. It can be measured via Semi-Inclusive Deep Inelastic Scattering of lepton on a transversely polarised proton and deuteron targets by determining the azimuthal asymmetry related to the modulation in the Sivers angle ϕ(Siv). Sivers asymmetry in J/ψ production in COMPASS 2010 proton data / Matoušek, Jan (Charles U. ; Trieste U.) /COMPASS
The Sivers asymmetry in J/ψ production in scattering of muons off transversely polarized protons μ(+) + p(↑)→μ(+) + J/ψ + X is measured in two z-bins (inclusive and exclusive production) in the COMPASS 2010 data. Only J/ψ’s decaying into muons are detected. [...]

Recent results from COMPASS on exclusive muoproduction / Sandacz, Andrzej (Warsaw, Inst. Nucl. Studies) /COMPASS
The 160 GeV polarised muon beam available at CERN, with positive or negative charge, makes COMPASS a unique place for GPD studies. The first GPD related COMPASS results come from exclusive vector meson production on transversely polarised protons and deuterons. [...]

Di-hadron asymmetry and interplay between transversity induced asymmetries in hadron leptoproduction at COMPASS / Sbrizzai, Giulio (Trieste U.) /COMPASS
New results on the transverse spin azimuthal asymmetries in semi-inclusive DIS reactions extracted by the COMPASS Collaboration from the data collected with a transversely polarised proton target are presented. A noticeable similarity between the Collins asymmetry and the dihadron asymmetry, already been observed and reported, triggered a more deep investigation on the angular correlations and the relevant kinematical variables. Search for Higgs $\to$ Invisible Decays at the LHC / Mal, Prolay Kumar (Bhubaneswar, NISER)
The recent discovery of the Standard Model (SM) Higgs boson at the LHC experiments (ATLAS and CMS) has finally culminated the long-standing puzzle of electroweak symmetry breaking (at least within the context of the SM), while broadening the scope of beyond the Standard Model (BSM) physics involving the Higgs boson itself. In particular, the characteristic decay of the SM Higgs boson into some particles which can escape detection by the modern High Energy Physics detectors (and thus becomes invisible) can be one of the interesting searches for the BSM physics. Quark nuggets search using gravitational waves aluminum bar detectors / Ronga, Francesco (Frascati) /ROG
Up to now there is no evidence of supersymmetric WIMPS dark matter. This may suggests to look for more exotic possibilities, for example compact ultra-dense quark nuggets. [...]
