 Estimates of the Radiation Levels in Run II, MARS and FLUKA Simulations /CMS Collaboration Particle flux maps based on FLUKA simulations of proton-proton collisions for the CMS Detector. CMS FLUKA models v.3.0.0.0 and v.3.13.0.0 are used, which correspond to the current CMS configuration. [...] CMS-DP-2015-010; CERN-CMS-DP-2015-010.- Geneva : CERN, 2015 - 9 p. Fulltext: PDF;

 L1 calorimeter trigger upgrade: tau performance /CMS Collaboration After the first long shutdown, the LHC will restart and it will achieve a center-of-mass energy of the collisions of about 13 TeV, an expected instantaneous luminosity larger than $10^{34} cm^{-2} s^{-1}$ and an average number of pile-up (PU) interactions of about 40. The trigger architecture will undergo a full upgrade in order to maintain and improve the trigger performance under these new conditions. It will allow to keep the trigger rate under control and to avoid at the same time a significant increase in trigger thresholds that would have a negative impact on the physics. The expected performance of the trigger upgrade algorithm on the selection of tau leptons decaying into hadrons is shown here.. CMS-DP-2015-009; CERN-CMS-DP-2015-009.- Geneva : CERN, 2015 - 28 p. A proposed DT-seeded Muon Track Trigger for the HL-LHC /CMS Collaboration The LHC program after the observation of the candidate SM Higgs boson will continue with collisions at 13 and 14 TeV, which will help clarify future subjects of study and shape the tools needed to carry them on. Any upgrade of the LHC experiments for unprecedented luminosities, such as the HL-LHC ones, must then maintain the acceptance on electroweak processes that can lead to a detailed study of the properties of the candidate Higgs boson. L1 calorimeter trigger upgrade: electron and photon performance /CMS Collaboration After the first long shutdown the LHC will restart in 2015, and instantaneous luminosity greater than $10^{34}$ cm$^{-2}$ s$^{-1}$ and an average number of pile-up events of 45 or higher could be achieved. To avoid a significant increase in energy thresholds, which would be detrimental for physics, an upgrade of the L1 trigger system is required for Run 2. Double Muon Trigger efficiency in 2012 data /CMS Collaboration Method and results for the computation of the efficiency of double muon triggers are presented in this report. Efficiencies for the two main HLT double muon triggers used in 2012 ($Mu17\_Mu8$ and $Mu17\_TkMu8$) are computed on the basis of data collected at the end of the LHC Run-1 period (Run2012D dataset). Moreover, a breakdown of the intermediate results from each step of the efficiency measurement method, as well as data/montecarlo scale-factor ratios, are presented for the $Mu17\_TkMu8$ trigger.. Jet measurement with the CASTOR calorimeter /CMS Collaboration The measurement of low $p_T$ ($> 3$ GeV) very forward ($\sim 6$) jets with the CASTOR calorimeter of the CMS experiment is presented. The CASTOR (Centauro And STrange Objects Research) calorimeter is covering the pseudorapidity range $-6.6 < \eta < -5.2$ and is located at -14.37 m from the interaction point. L1-tau trigger for LHC phase-1 - performance plots /CMS Collaboration A new algorithm dedicated to the tau lepton trigger at Level-1 has been developed for the phase-1 of the LHC. A thorough study of the tau energy deposits in the CMS calorimeters performed directly on data taken during the LHC Run 1 has guided the development of this new algorithm. Performance of the Mean-Timer algorithm for DT Local Reconstruction and muon time measurement. /CMS Collaboration The Mean-Timer algorithm has been recently implemented as default for the local reconstruction within the CMS Drift Tubes (DT), for muons that appear to be out-of-time (OOT) or lack measured hits on one of the two space projections. Besides improving the spatial resoluton for OOT muons, this method allows a precise time measurement that can be used to tag OOT muons, in order either to reject them (e.g. [...] CMS-DP-2014-021; CERN-CMS-DP-2014-021.- Geneva : CERN, 2014 - 9 p.
