The γ -ray emission from the nuclei $^{62,64}$Fe following Coulomb excitation at bombarding energy of 400-440 AMeV was measured with special focus on E 1 transitions in the energy region 4-8 MeV. The unstable neutron-rich nuclei $^{62,64}$Fe were produced at the FAIR-GSI laboratories and selected with the FRS spectrometer. [...] 2020 - 6 p. - Published in : Phys. Lett. B 811 (2020) 135951

Electron flux and pressure dynamic in the LHC vacuum pilot sector as a function of beam parameters and beam pipe properties / Buratin, Elena (CERN ; EPFL, Lausanne, FSL) ; Baglin, Vincent (CERN) ; Henrist, Bernard (CERN) ; Chiggiato, Paolo (CERN) ; Fasoli, Ambrogio (EPFL, Lausanne, FSL) The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is affected by the electron cloud (EC) phenomenon that can provoke beam instabilities, detrimental heat loads and pressure increases in the vacuum system. An innovative dedicated system called vacuum pilot sector (VPS) provides a continuous monitoring of the electron flux and of the pressure signals thanks to electron pickup and vacuum gauges. A first prototype of C$_6$ D$_6$ total-energy detector with SiPM readout for neutron capture time-of-flight experiments / n_TOF Collaboration Low efficiency total-energy detectors (TEDs) are one of the main tools for neutron capture cross section measurements utilizing the time-of-flight (TOF) technique. State-of-the-art TEDs are based on a C$_6$ D$_6$ liquid-scintillation cell optically coupled to a fast photomultiplier tube. [...] 2021 - 8 p. - Published in : Nucl. Instrum. Methods Phys. Exclusive vector meson production in electron – ion collisions at the EIC, LHeC and FCC–$eh$ / Goncalves, Victor P. (Pelotas U.) ; Martins, Daniel E. (Rio de Janeiro Federal U.) ; Sena, Celso R. (Pelotas U.) The exclusive vector meson production in electron-ion collisions for the energies of the future colliders is investigated. We present predictions for the coherent and incoherent $\phi$ and $J/\psi$ production in $eAu$ collisions considering the possible states of nucleon configurations in the nuclear wave function and taking into account of the non-linear corrections to the QCD dynamics. Higgsino and gaugino pair production at the LHC with aNNLO+NNLL precision / Fiaschi, Juri (Munster U., ITP) ; Klasen, Michael (Munster U., ITP) We present a calculation of higgsino and gaugino pair production at the LHC at next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic (NNLL) accuracy, matched to approximate next-to-next-to-leading order (aNNLO) QCD corrections. We briefly review the formalism for the resummation of large threshold logarithms and highlight the analytical results required at aNNLO+NNLO accuracy. Strong diffusion effect of charm quarks on J /$\psi$ production in Pb–Pb collisions at the LHC / Zhao, Jiaxing (Tsinghua U., Beijing) ; Chen, Baoyi (Tianjin U.) We study the $J/\psi$ production based on coalescence model at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 2.76 and 5.02 TeV Pb-Pb collisions. With the colliding energy increasing from 2.76 TeV to 5.02 TeV, the number of charm pairs is enhanced by more than 50%. [...] arXiv:1705.04558.- 2018-01-10 - 5 p. - Published in : Phys. Lett. Searches for lepton flavor and lepton number violation in $K^+$ decays with NA62 / Duk, V (INFN, Perugia) /NA62 Collaboration The NA62 experiment at the CERN SPS provides unique opportunity to study rare and forbidden decays of $K^{+}$ mesons. Using the data collected in 2017 a search for the lepton number violating decays $K^{+}$ → $\pi^-$ $\mu^+$ $\mu^+$and $K^{+}$ → $\pi^-$ $e^{+}$ $e^{+}$ has been performed. Charged Kaons semi-leptonic form factors from NA48/2 / Lamanna, G (Pisa U.) /NA48/2 Collaboration The NA48/2 experiment collected unprecedent statistics of charged kaon decays in 2003 and 2004. The main purpose of the experiment was to measure direct CP violation in kaon decays to three pions while an extensive physics program was carried out together with the main goal. First observation and study of the $K^{\pm} \rightarrow \pi^{\pm} \pi^0 e^+ e^-$ decay with the NA48/2 experiment at CERN / Bloch-Devaux, B (Turin U.) /NA48/2 Collaboration The first observation of the rare decay $K^{\pm} \rightarrow \pi^{\pm} \pi^0 e^+ e^-$  is reported by the NA48/2 experiment at CERN, based on 4919 candidates with 4.9% background contamination. From the analysis of 1.7 × 10$^{11}$ kaon decays collected in 2003–2004, the branching ratio in the full kinematic region is measured to be BR ($K^{\pm} \rightarrow \pi^{\pm} \pi^0 e^+ e^-$)= (4.24 ± 0.14) × 10$^{-6}$. New Result on $K^+ \rightarrow \pi^+ \nu \overline{\nu}$ from the NA62 Experiment / Ruggiero, G (Lancaster U.) The NA62 experiment at the CERN SPS is designed to measure the branching ratio of the $K^+ \rightarrow \pi^+ \nu \overline{\nu}$ with a decay-in-flight technique and took data in 2016–2018. The statistics collected in 2017 allows NA62 to achieve the best up–to–date single event sensitivity for $K^+ \rightarrow \pi^+ \nu \overline{\nu}$ corresponding to more than 2 Standard Model $K^+ \rightarrow \pi^+ \nu \overline{\nu}$ expected events.
