Production of b and c hadrons with the ATLAS detector / Korn, Andreas (Department of Physics and Astronomy, University College London) /ATLAS Collaboration A wide program on heavy flavour production is performed with the ATLAS detector. Studies have been completed for hadrons with b and c quark, for quarkonia states, and for associated production J/psi+J/psi, J/psi+muon, J/psi+W and J/psi+Z.
The talk will discuss recent results, including the prompt production of J/psi+J/psi pairs (with the separation of single and double parton scattering components) and the kinematical correlations in B hadron pair production, studied through their inclusive decays to non-prompt J/psi and muons, respectively.. Searches for rare and exotic Higgs decays with ATLAS / Marjanovic, Marija (Laboratoire de Physique de Clermont-Ferrand (LPC), Universite Clermont Auvergne, CNRS/IN2P3, Clermont-Ferrand, France) /ATLAS Collaboration Some theories predict Lepton Flavour Violating decays of the Higgs boson, while other predict enhanced decay rates into new light pseudoscalar bosons "a" or invisible particles. Also enhanced rates in rare decay modes like Phi-photon are considered. Search for heavy resonances decaying to top quarks (and related searches) / Haley, Joseph (Oklahoma State University) /ATLAS Collaboration Searches for new resonances that decay either to pairs of top quarks or a top and a b-quark will be presented. The searches are performed with the ATLAS experiment at the LHC using proton-proton collision data collected in 2015 and 2016 with a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV [...] ATL-PHYS-SLIDE-2017-744.- Geneva : CERN, 2017 - 39 p. Measurements of the Vector boson production with the ATLAS Detector / Lapertosa, Alessandro (INFN Genova and Universita' di Genova, Dipartimento di Fisica) /ATLAS Collaboration Measurements of the Drell-Yan production of W and Z/γ bosons at the LHC provide a benchmark of our understanding of perturbative QCD and probe the proton structure in a unique way. The ATLAS collaboration has performed new high precision measurements at center-of-mass energies of 7 TeV. Measurement of quarkonia production in heavy-ion collisions with the ATLAS detector / Tapia Araya, Sebastian (Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria) /ATLAS Collaboration The suppression of heavy quarkonia states in heavy-ion collisions is a phenomenon understood as a consequence of QGP formation in the hot, dense system formed in heavy-ion collisions at the LHC. In addition to hot matter effects in heavy-ion collisions , cold nuclear effects may also affect quarkonia production . [...] ATL-PHYS-SLIDE-2017-742.- Geneva : CERN, 2017 - 20 p. Higgs results from the combination of ATLAS and CMS / Lacey, Jim (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DE)) /ATLAS Collaboration Results of the combined ATLAS and CMS measurements of the mass, production and decay rates of the Higgs boson, as well as constraints on its couplings to vector bosons and fermions. The combination is based on the analysis of five production processes and the six decay channels $H\rightarrow$ ZZ, WW, $\gamma\gamma$, $\tau\tau$, bb, and $\mu\mu$.
