Angular Correlations as a function of multiplicity in pp and p-Pb collisions in the ATLAS experiment / Kar, Deepak (School of Physics, University of the Witwatersrand) /ATLAS Collaboration
ATLAS measurements of correlations between particle pairs in relative azimuthal angle ($\Delta \phi$) and pseudorapidity separation ($\Delta\eta$), in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$=2.76, 5.02 and 13 TeV, and in p+Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$=5.02 TeV are presented. Prior measurements have shown that in pp collisions with a large multiplicity of produced particles, a long-range structure, commonly called the “ridge”, develops along $\Delta\eta$ at $\Delta\phi \approx 0$. [...]

Jet studies in heavy ion collisions with the ATLAS detector / Slovak, Radim (Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics) /ATLAS Collaboration
In relativistic heavy ion collisions, a hot medium with a high density of unscreened color charges is produced. Jets are produced at the early stages of this collision and are known to become attenuated as they propagate through the hot matter. [...]

Triggering of Pb+Pb collisions at 5.02TeV with the ATLAS detector / Slovak, Radim (Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics) /ATLAS Collaboration
With an recording rate of around 1kHz, it was not possible to record all events during the heavy ion run in 2015 given the inelastic Pb+Pb collision rate of more than 20 kHz with the ALTAS experiment at the HLT. To reduce the event rate but to still maintain a high efficiency of selecting events of interest, dedicated algorithms were put in place to collect the most interesting trigger signatures like jet, e/gamma, muon, central and azimuthally asymmetric events as well as a sizable minimum bias sample. [...]

Latest Frontier Technology and Design of the ATLAS Calorimeter Trigger Board Dedicated to Jet Identification / ATLAS Collaboration
To cope with the enhanced luminosity of the beam delivered by the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in 2020, the A Thoroidal LHC ApparatuS (ATLAS) experiment has planned a major upgrade. As part of this, the trigger at Level-I based on calorimeter data, will be upgraded to exploit fine-granularity readout using a new system of Feature Extractors, which differ in the physics objects for the trigger selection. MASADA: A MODELING AND SIMULATION AUTOMATED DATA ANALYSIS FRAMEWORK FOR CONTINUOUS DATA-INTENSIVE VALIDATION OF SIMULATION MODELS / Foguelman, Daniel Jacob (Universidad de Buenos Aires) ; Bonaventura, Matias Alejandro (Universidad de Buenos Aires) ; Castro, Rodrigo Daniel (Universidad de Buenos Aires) /ATLAS Collaboration
Complex networked computer systems are usually subjected to upgrades and enhancements on a continuous basis. Modeling and simulation of such systems helps with guiding their engineering processes, in particular when testing candi- date design alternatives directly on the real system is not an option. [...]
