Testing the new physics scale in the B^{0} system @ ATLAS / Alpigiani, C (Queen Mary University of London) Weak decays that are naturally suppressed in the Standard Model, such as processes with flavour-changing neutral-currents, are perfect for indirect searches of new physics. These decays allow us to investigate higher energy ranges with respect to direct searches thus representing a fundamental complementary tool. A general search for new phenomena with the ATLAS detector at sqrt(s) = 8 TeV / Amoroso, S (Uni. Freiburg) We present a model-independent general search for new physics in proton proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The data set, recorded by the ATLAS experiment during 2012, corresponds to a total integrated luminosity of 20.3~fb^{-1}. [...] ATL-PHYS-SLIDE-2014-104.- Geneva : CERN, 2014 - 1 p. A Search for Resonant Higgs-Pair Production in the bbbb final state / Falla, R (UCL) A search for TeV-scale resonances decaying to hh->bbbb is performed in 19.5 fb^-1 of proton-proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 8 TeV data, recorded by ATLAS in 2012. The decay of each electroweak-scale boson is reconstructed from a pair of b-tagged jets, clustered with the anti-kT jet algorithm with R= 0.4, that have low angular separation and form a dijet with pT > 200 GeV. Overview of results on diffraction from the ATLAS Experiment / Bansil, H S (University of Birmingham) The measurements of the total inelastic cross section and the differential inelastic cross section as a function of rapidity gap are presented as well as selected results for the measurement of the pseudorapidity dependence of the total transverse energy. The data used for these studies were collected in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector at the LHC in 2010.. ATL-PHYS-SLIDE-2014-102.- Geneva : CERN, 2014 - 17 p. Measurements of vector bosons and vector bosons plus jet production with the ATLAS Experiment / Laycock, PJ (University of Liverpool) (SM, Alessandro Tricoli, Sasha Glazov) Measurements of vector bosons and  vector bosons plus jet production with the ATLAS detector --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neutral and charged current Drell-Yan processes at the LHC provide unique tool to study various QCD and EW effects. Measurements differential in invariant mass of the lepton pair and lepton or pair rapidity are sensitive to the parton density functions. [...] ATL-PHYS-SLIDE-2014-101.- Geneva : CERN, 2014 - 19 p. Top quark production with the ATLAS detector at LHC / "Spanò, F (Royal Holloway, University of London") The top quark is the most massive known fundamental constituent of matter. Its unexplained large mass suggests an important connection to the still mysterious electroweak symmetry breaking mechanism and it is the basis of a rich set of links to possible new particle and interactions that could appear at the LHC by often modifying the production and decay of top quarks.
