Search for rare or non-standard production and decay modes of the Higgs boson with the ATLAS detector / Chakraborty, Dhiman (Northern Illinois University) /ATLAS Collaboration Some theories predict the production of the Higgs boson in association with DM particles, while other theories predict either enhanced decay rates into rare modes like Phi-photon or decays not present in the Standard Model like decays into light pseudoscalar bosons "a" or decays into invisible particles. This talk summarizes ATLAS searches for such rare or non-standard production or decay modes of the Higgs boson.. Dark Sector Searches Using Exotic Higgs Boson Decays in the ATLAS Collaboration / Baker, Oliver Keith (Yale University) /ATLAS Collaboration This Dark Sector search in the ATLAS collaboration uses Higgs boson exotic decays as a possible portal to such new phenomena. Use is made of the Standard Model (SM) decay to four leptons: H-->ZZ*-->4l The current analysis is sensitive to the possible existence of "Dark Sector" or "Hidden Sector" vector boson ("Zd") or pseudoscalar boson ("a") that is beyond the SM: H-->ZZd-->4l (electrons and muons) H-->Za-->4l ( models suggest that this is mainly to muons) Analysis results from the Run 2 dataset (15 inverse fb from 2016) and (21 inverse fb from 2015) will be presented.. Searches for squarks and gluinos with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration /ATLAS Collaboration Despite the absence of experimental evidence, weak scale supersymmetry remains one of the best motivated and studied Standard Model extensions. This talk summarises recent ATLAS results on searches for supersymmetric squarks and gluinos, including third generation squarks produced directly or via decay of gluinos. Upgrade of the ATLAS hadronic Tile calorimeter for the High luminosity LHC / Asensi Tortajada, Ignacio (School of Physics, University of the Witwatersrand) /ATLAS Collaboration The Tile Calorimeter (TileCal) is the hadronic calorimeter covering the central region of the ATLAS detector at the LHC. It is a sampling calorimeter consisting of alternating thin steel plates and scintillating tiles. [...] ATL-TILECAL-SLIDE-2017-393.- Geneva : CERN, 2017 - 1 p. Cross section and couplings measurements with the ATLAS detector for the 125 GeV Higgs Boson / Herde, Hannah (Brandeis University, Department of Physics) /ATLAS Collaboration Detailed measurements of the properties of the 125 GeV Higgs boson are fundamental for the understanding of the electroweak symmetry breaking mechanism. Measurements of the Higgs boson allow to study the gauge, loop induced and Yukawa couplings of the Higgs boson both in production and decay modes. ATLAS Tile calorimeter calibration and monitoring systems / Cortes-Gonzalez, Arely (European Laboratory for Particle Physics, CERN) /ATLAS Collaboration The ATLAS Tile Calorimeter is the central section of the hadronic calorimeter of the ATLAS experiment and provides important information for reconstruction of hadrons, jets, hadronic decays of tau leptons and missing transverse energy. This sampling calorimeter uses steel plates as absorber and scintillating tiles as active medium.
