Search for new physics using boosted Z bosons decaying to electrons in proton--proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 8 TeV /CMS Collaboration
A search for new heavy particles whose two-body decays involve boosted Z bosons is presented, based on the dielectron decay channel, using $19.7~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $\sqrt{s}=8~\mathrm{TeV}$ proton--proton collision data collected by the CMS detector in 2012. No evidence for non-standard-model physics is observed in the inclusive Z boson transverse momentum spectrum, and upper limits on the cross section for production of excited quarks decaying to qZ are obtained. Determination of the strong coupling constant from the measurement of inclusive multijet event cross sections in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 8~\mathrm{TeV}$ /CMS Collaboration
A measurement of inclusive multijet event cross sections is presented from proton-proton collisions recorded at $\sqrt{s} = 8\,$TeV with the CMS detector and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $19.7\,\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. Jets are reconstructed with the anti-k$_t$ clustering algorithm for a jet size parameter $R=0.7$ in a phase space region ranging up to jet transverse momenta $p_\mathrm{T}$ of $2.0\,$TeV and an absolute rapidity of $|y|=2.5$. Charge asymmetry dependence of elliptic and triangular flow in pPb and PbPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{NN}}} = 5.02~\mathrm{TeV}$ /CMS Collaboration
Charge dependent elliptic azimuthal anisotropy ($v_{\rm 2}$) in pPb and both $v_{\rm 2}$ and triangular azimuthal anisotropy ($v_{\rm 3}$) in PbPb collisions are measured at $\sqrt{s_{_{NN}}} = 5.02~\mathrm{TeV}$ with the CMS detector at the LHC. The normalized difference of $v_{\rm 2}$ between positively and negatively charged particles, ($v_{\rm 2}^{-}-v_{\rm 2}^{+}$)/($v_{\rm 2}^{-}+v_{\rm 2}^{+}$), shows a linear dependence with respect to the event-charged asymmetry $A_{\rm ch}$, with comparable slopes observed for pPb and PbPb collisions at similar multiplicities. Measurement of Nuclear Modification Factors of $\Upsilon\textrm{(nS)}$ Mesons in $\text{PbPb}$ Collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{\text{NN}}}} = 5.02~\mathrm{TeV}$ /CMS Collaboration

Correlations of azimuthal anisotropy harmonics in pp, pPb and PbPb collisions at the LHC /CMS Collaboration
The first measurements of anisotropy harmonics ($v_n$, $n=2-4$) in $\text{pPb}$ collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{NN}}} = 8.16~\mathrm{TeV}$ is presented. Jet properties in PbPb and pp collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 5.02~\mathrm{TeV}$ /CMS Collaboration
Modifications to high transverse momentum ($p_{\rm T}$) jets in the quark gluon plasma (QGP) are studied in PbPb and pp collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 5.02~\mathrm{TeV}$ via correlations between jets with $p_{\rm T} > 120~~\mathrm{GeV}$ and charged particles with $p_{\rm T} > 0.7~\mathrm{GeV}$. This measurement aims to extend results of the same correlations at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 2.76~\mathrm{TeV}$, which observed significant modification of jet track correlations out to large distances from the jet axis in central PbPb events. Event-by-event flow harmonics are studied for PbPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 5.02~\mathrm{TeV}$ using the CMS detector at the LHC. Measurement of mixed higher order flow harmonics in PbPb collisions /CMS Collaboration
The mixed higher order flow harmonics and nonlinear response coefficients of charged particles are measured for the first time as a function of $p_{\rm{T}}$ and centrality in PbPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 2.76~\mathrm{TeV}$ and $5.02~\mathrm{TeV}$ with the CMS detector. The results are obtained using the scalar product method, and cover a $p_{\rm{T}}$ range from $0.3~\mathrm{GeV}/c$ to $8.0~\mathrm{GeV}/c$, pseudorapidity $|\eta| < 2.4$, and a centrality range of $0-60\%$.
