Search for massive WH resonances decaying to $\ell \nu {\rm b \bar{b}}$ final state in the boosted regime at $\sqrt{s}=8$\,TeV /CMS Collaboration
A search for a massive resonance decaying into a W boson and a Higgs boson in the $\ell \nu \rm{b \bar{b}}$ final state is presented. Results are based on data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb$^{-1}$ of proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=8$\,TeV and collected with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC. For a high-mass ($\gtrsim$ 1~TeV) resonance, the two bottom quarks coming from the Higgs boson decay give rise to the presence of one single jet, which can be tagged through a study of its substructure and flavor. Exclusion limits at 95\% confidence level are set on the cross section of a narrow resonance decaying to WH as a function of its mass. In the context of the Little Higgs model, we set a lower limit on the W' mass of 1.4~TeV. In a model of a Heavy Vector Triplet that mimics the properties of the Composite Higgs model, we set a lower limit on the W' mass of 1.5~TeV..
