Improved Performance of Line Segment Tracking Using Machine Learning /CMS Collaboration
This note documents the performance of the Line Segment Tracking (LST) algorithm with a new addi- tion of a lightweight DNN for classifying real versus fake tracks in the outer tracker. The performance of LST is compared before and after the addition of the DNN. [...]

Binning high-dimensional classifier output for HEP analyses through a clustering algorithm /CMS Collaboration
The usage of Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) as multi-classifiers is widespread in modern HEP analyses. In standard categorisation methods, the high-dimensional output of the DNN is often reduced to a one-dimensional distribution by exclusively passing the information about the highest class score to the statistical inference method. [...]

Jet energy scale and resolution measurements using data scouting events collected by the CMS experiment in 2022 at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13.6 TeV /CMS Collaboration
The performance of the data scouting strategy used by the CMS experiment in Run--3, is studied by analysing the proton-proton collision dataset, having centre of mass energy of 13.6 TeV with a total integrated luminosity of 34 fb$^{-1}$ in 2022. The Jet Energy Scale (JES) and Jet Energy Resolution (JER) of the data scouting jets are measured for jets reconstructed offline using as input the scouting PF candidates that were reconstructed online during data taking, and are compared with their counterparts for fully offline reconstructed jets. Signal-agnostic Optimization of Normalized Autoencoders for Model Independent Searches /CMS Collaboration
A particularly interesting application of autoencoders (AE) for HEP is their use as anomaly detection (AD) algorithms to perform a signal-agnostic search for new physics. This is achieved by training the AE on Standard Model physics and tagging potential signal events as anomalies. [...]

Dimuon scouting at CMS /CMS Collaboration
Data scouting is a paradigm for data analysis at CMS based on trigger-level object reconstruction. The online objects reconstructed by the High-Level Trigger are then stored directly to disk to be used in physics analyses. [...]
