Highlights of Searches for Physics Beyond the Standard Model from the CMS Experiment at the LHC / Shmatov, S V (Dubna, JINR ; Dubna Intl. Univ.) Searches for physics beyond the Standard Model in the Higgs sector with the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider are briefly reviewed. These are based on the CMS data collected during the first and second LHC runs.. 2018 - 6 p. - Published in : Phys. Part. Observation of $\pi^- K^+$ and $\pi^+ K^-$ atoms / Yazkov, Valeriy (SINP, Moscow) /DIRAC Experiment DIRAC at CERN PS detects 349 ± 62 pairs from $\pi^-K^+$ and $\pi^+K^-$ atoms and makes observation of exotic atoms consist of pion and kaon. It allows to measure a difference of S-wave pion-kaon scattering length with isospin 1/2 and 3/2: $|a{_0^{1/2}}−a{_0^{3/2}}|$. Proposal for enhancement of antihydrogen ion production in the GBAR experiment / Cooke, D A (Zurich, ETH) ; Husson, A (CSNSM, Orsay) ; Lunney, D (CSNSM, Orsay) ; Crivelli, P (Zurich, ETH) The production of antihydrogen ions (H̅+) in the GBAR experiment will occur via a two step charge exchange process. In a first reaction, the antiprotons(P̅) from the ELENA ring will capture a positron from a positronium(Ps) target producing antihydrogen (H̅) atoms. A strange program for LHCb / Santos, Diego Martínez (Santiago de Compostela U., IGFAE) /LHCb The LHCb experiment is expanding its physics program towards studies of rare decays of strange particles. In this talk, we reviewed the published results by LHCb in $K_{S}^{0} \rightarrow \mu ^{+}\mu ^{-}$ and $\sum^{+} \rightarrow p\mu ^{+}\mu ^{-}$ decays, as well as sensitivity studies and prospects for other strangeness decays.. 2018 - 5 p. - Published in : EPJ Web Conf. 179 (2018) 01013 Fulltext: PDF; In : Flavour changing and conserving processes, Anacapri, Italy, 7 - 9 Sep 2017, pp.01013

B decay anomalies at LHCb / Oyanguren, Arantza (Valencia U., IFIC) /LHCb The LHCb collaboration has provided a plethora of precise measurements of flavour observables in the last years. In the B meson sector some of these results show consistent deviations from Standard Model predictions with a clear tendency to specific New Physics scenarios. Radiative Neutrino Mass Generation: Models, Flavour and the LHC / Volkas, Raymond R (ARC, CoEPP, Melbourne) Radiative neutrino mass models and the seesaw models are viewed from the unifying framework of standard model effective operators that explicitly violate lepton number by two units (ΔL = 2). After some comments on naturalness and leptogenesis in the minimal type 1 seesaw model, a full list of minimal renormalisable models that produce mass dimension-7, ΔL = 2 operators at low energies is presented. Beamline Design for Plasma-Wakefield Acceleration Experiments at MAX IV / Svensson, Jonas Björklund (Lund U.) ; Ekerfelt, Henrik (Lund U.) ; Lundh, Olle (Lund U.) ; Mansten, Erik (Lund U., MAX-lab) ; Andersson, Joel (Lund U., MAX-lab) ; Kotur, Marija (Lund U., MAX-lab) ; Lindau, Filip (Lund U., MAX-lab) ; Thorin, Sara (Lund U., MAX-lab) ; Charles, Tessa K (CERN ; Melbourne U.) The MAX IV Laboratory is a synchrotron radiation user facility located just outside the city of Lund, Sweden. The facility is made up of two storage rings, at 3 GeV and 1.5 GeV, respectively, and a linear accelerator, serving as a full-energy injector for the rings as well as a driver for the Short-Pulse Facility (SPF) located downstream of the extraction point to the 3 GeV ring. Estimating gluon saturation in dijet photoproduction in UPC / Kotko, Piotr (Penn State U.) We study dijet production in the ultra-peripheral heavy ion collisions (UPC) at LHC within the saturation formalism. More precisely, we use an approach which is  the large-$p_T$ approximation to the Color Glass Condensate on one hand, and the small-$x$ limit of the  transverse momentum dependent (TMD) factorization on the other. Simulating HEP Workflows on Heterogeneous Architectures / Leggett, Charles (LBL, Berkeley) ; Shapoval, Illya (LBL, Berkeley) /ATLAS The next generation of supercomputing facilities, such as Oak Ridge's Summit and Lawrence Livermore's Sierra, show an increasing use of GPGPUs and other accelerators in order to achieve their high FLOP counts. This trend will only grow with exascale facilities.
