Radiative Neutron Capture Cross-Section Measurement of Ge Isotopes at n_TOF CERN Facility and Its Importance for Stellar Nucleosynthesis / n_TOF Collaboration This manuscript summarizes the results of radiative neutron capture cross-section measurements on two stable germanium isotopes, $^{70}$Ge and $^{73}$Ge. Experiments were performed at the n_TOF facility at CERN via the time-of-flight technique, over a wide neutron energy range, for all stable germanium isotopes (70,72,73,74, and 76). From nuclear astrophysics to fundamental nuclear physics: challenging experimental approaches at n_TOF (CERN) / Musumarra, Agatino (Catania U. ; INFN, Catania) /n_TOF Collaboration The n_TOF installation at CERN is one of the leading neutron facilities worldwide undergoing a major update of the neutron spallation source. The update will provide improved n-TOF resolution in the experimental areas and the possibility to perform neutron cross section measurements at very high neutron flux (NEAR-Station). Nuclear data program for Neutron Capture Therapy at the n_TOF facility at CERN / n_TOF Collaboration Few cross section measurements have been performed at the n TOF facility at CERN with the aim of supplying nuclear data for some neutron-induced reactions of importance in Neutron Capture Therapy. In this paper, a brief introduction to the topic will be presented as well as a discussion on the status of the nuclear data available prior to the executions of the experiments.. 2019 - 4 p. - Published in : Nuovo Cimento C 42 (2019) 137 Fulltext: PDF; In : European Nuclear Physics Conference 2018, Bologna, Italy, 2 - 7 Sep 2018, pp.137

Measurement of the $^{16}$O(n, α)$^{13}$C cross-section using a Double Frisch Grid Ionization Chamber / n_TOF Collaboration The $^{16}$O(n, α)$^{13}$C reaction was proposed to be measured at the neutron time-of-flight (n_TOF) facility of CERN. To this purpose, a Double Frisch Grid Ionization Chamber (DFGIC) containing the oxygen atoms as a component in the counting gas coupled with a switch device in order to prevent the charge collection from the so-called γ-flash has been developed at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR), in Germany. The first $^{16}$O(n, α)$^{13}$C measurement without seeing the charge of the γ-flash at n_TOF has been performed in November 2018. Measurements of the $^{33}$S$($n$, α)$^{30}Si$cross-section at n_TOF and ILL: Implications in neutron capture therapy / Praena, Javier (Granada U.) ; Isabelópez-Casas, L (Granada U.) ; Sabat, Mariaé-Gilarte (CERN ; Seville U.) ; Arias, Fernando de Saavedra (Granada U.) ; Porras, Ignacio (Granada U.) Up to a couple of years ago, the 33S(n, α)30Si cross-section data had been limited and scarce. The origin in the solar system of 36S had been the only motivation to study that cross-section. In the scenario of neutron data standards needed to measure neutron fluences and cross-sections of several kinds of reactions, the$^{235}$U(n,f) reaction plays a key role. Motivated by significant inconsistencies found in measurements in the 10–30 keV energy range, we measured the energy-dependent cross-section of$^{235}$U(n,f) at the n TOF facility from thermal energy to 170 keV, with high energy resolution and uncertainty below 2%. Such experimental data can also provide additional constraints for the adjustment of nuclear model parameters used in the evaluation process, resulting in the further development of fission models. The capture events were recorded by an array of 4 C$_{6}$D$_{6}$detectors, and the capture yield was deduced exploiting the total energy detection system in combination with the Pulse Height Weighting Techniques. This measurement has been carried out in order to investigate a possible overestimation of the$^{235}\$U fission cross section evaluation provided by most recent libraries between 10 and 30 keV.
