$^{197}$Au($n,\gamma$) cross section in the unresolved resonance region / Lederer, C. (Vienna U.) ; Colonna, N (INFN, Bari) ; Domingo-Pardo, C (CSIC, Catalunya) ; Gunsing, F (DAPNIA, Saclay) ; Kappeler, F (Karlsruhe, Inst. Technol.) ; Massimi, C. (INFN, Bologna ; Bologna U.) ; Mengoni, A. (CERN ; IAEA, Vienna) ; Wallner, A. (Vienna U.) ; Abbondanno, U. (INFN, Trieste) ; Aerts, G. (DAPNIA, Saclay) et al.
The cross section of the reaction (197)Au(n,gamma) was measured with the time-of-flight technique at the n_TOF (neutron time-of-flight) facility in the unresolved resonance region between 5 and 400 keV using a pair of C(6)D(6) (where D denotes (2)H) liquid scintillators for the detection of prompt capture gamma rays. The results with a total uncertainty of 3.9%-6.7% for a resolution of 20 bins per energy decade show fair agreement with the Evaluated Nuclear Data File Version B-VII.0 (ENDF B-VII.0), which contains the standard evaluation. Neutron capture on (94)Zr: Resonance parameters and Maxwellian-averaged cross sections / Tagliente, G (Gent U. ; INFN, Bari) ; Milazzo, P.M (INFN, Trieste) ; Fujii, K (INFN, Trieste) ; Abbondanno, U (INFN, Trieste) ; Aerts, G (DAPNIA, Saclay) ; Alvarez, H (Santiago de Compostela U.) ; Alvarez-Velarde, F (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Andriamonje, S (DAPNIA, Saclay) ; Andrzejewski, J (Lodz U.) ; Audouin, L (Karlsruhe, Forschungszentrum) et al.
The neutron capture cross sections of the Zr isotopes play an important role in nucleosynthesis studies. The s-process reaction flow between the Fe seed and the heavier isotopes passes through the neutron magic nucleus (90)Zr and through (91,92,93,94)Zr, but only part of the flow extends to (96)Zr because of the branching point at (95)Zr. The Role of Fe and Ni for S-process Nucleosynthesis and Innovative Nuclear Technologies / Giubrone, G (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Ventura, A (ENEA, Bologna, Italy.) ; Perkowski, J (Lodz U.) ; Andriamonje, S (CERN) ; Carrapico, C (ITN, Lisbon) ; Wallner, A (U. Vienna (main)) ; Vannini, G (INFN, Bologna ; Bologna U.) ; Quesada, J M (Seville U.) ; Lederer, C (U. Vienna (main)) ; Tarrio, D (Santiago de Compostela U.) et al.
The accurate measurement of neutron capture cross sections of all Fe and Ni isotopes is important for disentangling the contribution of the s-process and the r-process to the stellar nucleosynthesis of elements in the mass range 60 < A < 120. At the same time, Fe and Ni are important components of structural materials and improved neutron cross section data is relevant in the design of new nuclear systems. [...]
