Can gluons carry baryon number? / Kharzeev, Dmitri (speaker) (Stony Brook U./BNL)
Gauge invariance of QCD dictates the presence of string junctions in the wave functions of baryons. In high-energy inclusive processes, these baryon junctions have been predicted to induce the separation of the flows of baryon number and flavor. [...]

LHC: AN EXCITING PHYSICS FUTURE FOR CERN<BR>Lecture 1 - An introduction to structures on all scales / Egil Lillestol (CERN), (speaker)
Starting from a discussion of the smallest constituents of matter to the largest structures in the universe, this 3 lecture series will review the successes of LEP and show how they open the door to an exciting programme of physics at the LHC. These open lectures are targetted at people who have a scientific, engineering or technical background but are not specialists in the field of particle physics. Anyone who is curious about CERN physics and its future will find something of interest..

Summary of the Villars LHC Days 2001 / (CERN), (speaker)
Topics for the LHC workshop, held 19th-21st March in Villars-sur-Ollon, have been chosen to cover a large area of interests and having a character of actuality. The status of the main magnet and an outlook upon the production phase were discussed [...]

Revealing the Potential of the Higgs field: Recent ATLAS Searches for Higgs Boson Pair Production / Zhang, Rui (speaker) (University of Wisconsin Madison (US))
In the Standard Model, the Higgs boson self-coupling strength is related to the quartic term in the energy potential of the Higgs field, which is responsible for electroweak symmetry breaking. The self-coupling can be studied experimentally through the production of pairs of Higgs bosons (HH). This seminar reports new HH searches and their combination, obtained by ATLAS with the full LHC Run 2 proton–proton dataset at 13 TeV.The new results include: improved HH→bbγγ and HH→bbττ, the addition of boosted VBF HH→bbbb, and new final states HH→bb+ℓℓ+MET,  HH→multi-lepton, and HH→γγ+multi-lepton.Combined constraints on the HH production cross section, the Higgs boson self-coupling strength, and the HHVV (V = W or Z boson) coupling strength are derived [...]

The electron-Proton and Ion Collider (ePIC) detector at the Electron Ion Collider (EIC) / Dalla Torre, Silvia (speaker) (Universita e INFN Trieste (IT))
The US-based Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) project, approved since December 2019, is rapidly progressing towards realization, with the goal of starting operation in the early 30’s.   The EIC’s ability to collide high-energy electron beams with high-energy ion beams will provide access to those regions in the nucleon and nuclei where their structure is dominated by gluons. Moreover, highly polarized (~70%) electron and light nucleus beams in the EIC will give unprecedented access to the spatial and spin structure of gluons and sea-quarks in the proton and light nuclei. Dark Matter, Cosmic Background Radiation, and the Birth of the First Stars / Slatyer, Tracy (speaker)
84% of the matter in the universe is "dark", presently invisible to us except through its gravitational interactions. However, even tiny interactions between dark and visible matter could have striking effects on the primordial history of our universe, and leave distinctive traces of their existence in the low-energy background photons that pervade the cosmos. [...]

Discovery of a Glueball-like particle X(2370) @ BESIII / Huang, Yanping (speaker) (Chinese Academy of Sciences (CN))
In the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics, gluons are the fundamental particles mediating the strong interaction, as photons do in electromagnetic interactions. Gluons can attract each other to form new bound states called glueballs, which are the only particles in nature entirely composed of force mediators. [...]

An entanglement asymmetry study of black hole radiation / Murciano, Sara (speaker)
A long standing puzzle is whether information is lost after black holes evaporate, contradicting the unitarity of quantum mechanics. Don Page proposed a solution to this paradox by suggesting that the black hole and its emitted radiation can be effectively described by a random state of qubits. [...]

The Detector Configuration of the ATLAS experiment for Run3 of the LHC / Iengo, Paolo (speaker) (INFN) ; Camincher, Clement (speaker) (University of Victoria (CA))
The ATLAS experiment has undergone substantial improvements during Long Shutdown 2 (LS2). Thanks to luminosity levelling, a sustained running of the LHC at an instantaneous luminosity of L=2×1034cm−2s−1 is expected during LHC Run 3, with an average of up to 60 interactions per bunch crossing. [...]
