LHCb Kalman filter cross architecture studies / Campora Perez, Daniel Hugo (Universidad de Sevilla (ES)) The 2020 upgrade of the LHCb detector will vastly increase the rate of collisions the Online system needs to process in software, in order to filter events in real time. 30 million collisions per second will pass through a selection chain, where each step is executed conditional to its prior acceptance. $\Upsilon(nS)$ polarizations in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=$ 7 and 8 TeV by the LHCb collaboration / Artamonov, Alexander (Institute for High Energy Physics (RU)) A polarization measurement carried out for the $\Upsilon(1S)$, $\Upsilon(2S)$ and $\Upsilon(3S)$ mesons produced in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}=$ 7 and 8 TeV is presented. Rare B decays at LHCb / Puig Navarro, Albert (Universitaet Zuerich (CH)) Rare decays are flavour changing neutral current processes that allow sensitive searches for phenomena beyond the Standard Model (SM). In the SM, rare decays are loop-suppressed and new particles in SM extensions can give significant contributions. [...] LHCb-PROC-2017-039; CERN-LHCb-PROC-2017-039.- Geneva : CERN, 2017 - 6. The LHCb Starterkit initiative / Puig Navarro, Albert (Universitaet Zuerich (CH)) The vast majority of high-energy physicists use and produce software every day. Software skills are usually acquired on the go and dedicated training courses are rare. [...] LHCb-PROC-2017-038; CERN-LHCb-PROC-2017-038.- Geneva : CERN, 2017 - 5. New results on heavy-flavour in heavy-ion collisions with LHCb / Qin, Jiajia (University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CN)) Heavy-flavour quarks are important to probe Quark-Gluon Plasma(QGP) properties. Cold Nuclear Matter(CNM) e ffects can be accessed by $p$Pb collisions [...] LHCb-PROC-2017-037; CERN-LHCb-PROC-2017-037.- Geneva : CERN, 2017 - 9. Discovery of the doubly charmed baryon $\Xi_{cc}^{++}$ at LHCb / Spradlin, Patrick (University of Glasgow (GB)) The LHCb collaboration announced the first observation of the doubly charmed baryon $\Xi_{cc}^{++}$, which was discovered decaying to a $\Lambda_{c}^{+}K^{-}\pi^{+}\pi^{+}$ final state. A highly significant structure is found in the $\Lambda_{c}^{+}K^{-}\pi^{+}\pi^{+}$ mass spectrum in proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 13 TeV and 8 TeV [...] LHCb-PROC-2017-036; CERN-LHCb-PROC-2017-036.- Geneva : CERN, 2017 - 7. Measurement of heavy flavor production in $pp$ collisions at LHCb / Zhang, Yanxi (Université Paris-Saclay (FR)) Heavy flavor productions are important tests of QCD. In proton-proton collisions collected at LHCb, a long list of measurements for charm and bottom productions have been made. Searches for rare charm decays at LHCb / Mitzel, Dominik Stefan (Ruprecht Karls Universitaet Heidelberg (DE)) Rare and forbidden charm decays are unique probes for hints of physics beyond the Standard Model. The LHCb collaboration has made significant contributions to the field over the last years. [...] LHCb-PROC-2017-034; CERN-LHCb-PROC-2017-034.- Geneva : CERN, 2017 - 7. New results on collectivity with LHCb / Kopecna, Renata (Ruprecht Karls Universitaet Heidelberg (DE)) Two-particle angular correlations are studied in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt s = 13~ \text {TeV}$, collected with the LHCb detector at the LHC. The LHCb detector provides measurement in the very forward region, $2 < \eta < 5$. [...] LHCb-PROC-2017-033; CERN-LHCb-PROC-2017-033.- Geneva : CERN, 2017 - 6.
