Four-manifolds, geometries and knots . - Rev. ed. / Hillman, Jonathan A The goal of this book is to characterize algebraically the closed 4-manifolds that fibre nontrivially or admit geometries in the sense of Thurston, or which are obtained by surgery on 2-knots, and to provide a reference for the topology of such manifolds and knots [...] math.GT/0212142 ; math/0212142 - 2007. - 396 p.

A Large Hadron Electron Collider at CERN: Report on the Physics and Design Concepts for Machine and Detector / Abelleira Fernandez, J L (CERN ; Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne) ; Adolphsen, C (SLAC) ; Akay, A N (TOBB ETU, Ankara) ; Aksakal, H (Nigde U.) ; Albacete, J L (Saclay, SPhT) ; Alekhin, S (Serpukhov, IHEP ; DESY) ; Allport, P (Liverpool U.) ; Andreev, V (Lebedev Inst.) ; Appleby, R B (Manchester U. ; Daresbury) ; Arikan, E (Nigde U.) et al. /LHeC Study Group The physics programme and the design are described of a new collider for particle and nuclear physics, the Large Hadron Electron Collider (LHeC), in which a newly built electron beam of 60 GeV, up to possibly 140 GeV, energy collides with the intense hadron beams of the LHC. Compared to HERA, the kinematic range covered is extended by a factor of twenty in the negative four-momentum squared, $Q^2$, and in the inverse Bjorken $x$, while with the design luminosity of $10^{33}$ cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1}$ the LHeC is projected to exceed the integrated HERA luminosity by two orders of magnitude. Lectures on LHC physics / Plehn, Tilman When we try to advance from a solid knowledge of field theory to LHC physics we usually encounter a frustrating problem: in particular Higgs physics and QCD techniques appear as a impenetrable granite block of phenomenological know-how, common lores, and historically grown intuition what works and w [...] arXiv:0910.4182 - Berlin : Springer, 2012. - 197 p.
