Infinitesimal diffeomorfisms on the lattice / Patella, Agostino (speaker) (CERN)
The energy-momentum tensor and local translation Ward identities constitute the essential toolkit to probe the response of a QFT to an infinitesimal change of geometry. This is relevant in a number of contexts. [...]

Legal aspects of Joint Pre-Commercial Procurements: from modeling to implementation / Cinardo, Francesca (speaker) (Trento RISE)
The delivery of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services is changing fundamentally. Cloud-based services are replacing traditional local - or on-premises - software and infrastructure installations for many public sector organisations [...]

Superconductivity and its applications for society / Dr. Ballarino, Amalia (speaker) (CERN)
High-energy physics has been a major driving force in the development of applied superconductivity, the two fields becoming an example of exceptional merging between fundamental physics research and technological development. The discovery of High Temperature Superconductivity has generated great enthusiasm in a new class of materials that could enlarge the variety of applications [...]

Bottomonium production in p-Pb and Pb-Pb collisions in ALICE / Castillo Castellanos, Javier (speaker) (IRFU (FR))
Quarkonium measurements play a crucial role in the investigation of the properties of the deconfined state of nuclear matter, the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP), produced in ultra-relativistic heavy ion collisions. In particular, the sequential suppression of the quarkonium states by colour screening has long been suggested as a signature and thermometer of the QGP. The first results on charmonium suppression in Pb-Pb collisions at the LHC seem to indicate that, in addition to suppression mechanisms, a regeneration mechanism also plays a role [...]

Large Data Visualization with Open-Source Tools / Jomier, Julien (speaker) (Kitware)
Visualization and post-processing of large data have become increasingly challenging and require more and more tools to support the diversity of data to process. In this seminar, we will present a suite of open-source tools supported and developed by Kitware to perform large-scale data visualization and analysis [...]

Latest results on b-hadron spectroscopy at LHCb / Pappagallo, Marco (speaker) (University of Glasgow (GB))
Hadrons are systems bound by the strong interaction, which is described at the fundamental level by Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). While QCD is well understood at high energy in the perturbative regime, low-energy phenomena such as the binding of quarks and gluons within hadrons are more difficult to predict [...]

Storage ring proton EDM experiment / Semertzidis, Yannis K. (speaker) (Korea Advanced Inst of Science and Technology (KAIST))
I will give a overview of the present status of the electric dipole moment (EDM) experiments and then I will focus on the proton EDM method to be performed in an all-electric storage ring.  In storage rings one has the chance to probe the EDM of the proton with unprecedented sensitivity of 10^-29 e-cm.  The strength of the method originates from the fact that there are high intensity polarized proton beams available and the fact that the so-called geometric phase systematic error background cancels with clock-wise and counter-clock-wise storage possible in electric rings. The ultimate sensitivity of the method is 10^-30 e-cm [...]
