Measurement of the ttbb cross section and the ratio ttbb/ttjj in the lepton+jets final state at 8 TeV with CMS detector /CMS Collaboration
The associated production of a top-quark pair with at least two additional jets is studied in the single lepton+jets final state for an integrated luminosity of 19.6 fb$^{-1}$ at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}$=8 TeV. The jets from the top-quark decay are identified using a constrained kinematic fit and multivariate classifiers in different categories split by the jet multiplicity. The contributions of $\rm{t\bar{t}jj}$ and $\rm{t\bar{t}b\bar{b}}$ with at least two additional jets of any flavor or b jets to the inclusive $\rm{t\bar{t}+jets}$ production are extracted with a simultaneous template fit of b-tag discriminants. Measurement of top quark pair production in association with a W or Z boson using event reconstruction techniques /CMS Collaboration
A measurement of top quark pair production in association with a W or Z boson is presented, using 8 TeV proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.5 fb$^{-1}$, collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC. Final states are selected in which the associated W boson decays to a charged lepton and a neutrino ($W \rightarrow \ell\nu$) or the Z boson decays to two charged leptons ($Z \rightarrow \ell\ell$), where $\ell$ refers to an electron or muon. The $\mathrm{t}\bar{\mathrm{t}}\mathrm{W}$ cross section is measured to be $\sigma(\mathrm{t}\bar{\mathrm{t}}\mathrm{W}) = 382^{+117}_{-102}$ fb with a significance of 4.8 standard deviations from the background-only hypothesis. Measurement of the production cross section for Z gamma to nu nu gamma in pp collisions at sqrt(s) = 8 TeV and limits on Z Z gamma and Z gamma gamma triple gauge boson couplings /CMS Collaboration
A measurement of the Z$\gamma\rightarrow\nu\bar{\nu}\gamma$ cross section in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV is presented, using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.6 fb$^{-1}$ collected with the CMS detector at the LHC. This measurement is based on the observation of events with missing transverse momentum above 140 GeV and a single photon with transverse momentum above 145 GeV and absolute pseudorapidity range $|\eta| < 1.44$. The measured Z$\gamma\rightarrow\nu\bar{\nu}\gamma$ production cross section, $52.7 \pm 2.1 \rm{(stat.)} \pm 6.4 \rm{(syst.)} \pm 1.4 \rm{(lumi.)}$ fb, agrees well with the standard model prediction of $50.0 + 2.4 - 2.2$ fb. B Physics analyses for the Phase-II Upgrade Technical Proposal /CMS Collaboration
We estimate the CMS potential to trigger and reconstruct the $\mathrm{B}_{s}^{0}\to\mu^{+}\mu^{-}$ and $\mathrm{B}^{0}\to\mu^{+}\mu^{-}$ processes for the runs of the LHC at $\sqrt{s}=14$~TeV up to an integrated luminosity of 3000~$\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. With the upgraded CMS detector it will be possible to efficiently trigger and reconstruct both processes, with reduced statistical and systematic uncertainties leading to high precision measurements of the branching fractions of the $\mathrm{B}^{0}\to\mu^{+}\mu^{-}$ and $\mathrm{B}_{s}^{0}\to\mu^{+}\mu^{-}$ decays. Production of pairs of isolated photons in association with jets in pp collisions at sqrt(s) = 7 TeV /CMS Collaboration
The differential cross sections for the production of a photon pair in association with jets are measured using a sample of pp collisions collected by the CMS experiment in 2011 at $\sqrt{s}=7$~TeV, and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.0~$\text{fb}^{-1}$. Measurement of the W boson helicity using \ttbar\ events in the dilepton final state at sqrt(s) = 8 TeV /CMS Collaboration
A measurement of the W boson helicity fractions in top quark decays is presented. The measurement is performed using a sample of top quark pair events with two opposite-sign leptons (electron or muon) in the final state. The sample was recorded in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV, and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 19.7fb$^{-1}$. The longitudinal, left-handed and right-handed helicity fractions are measured to be $F_{\rm 0}=0.653\pm 0.016 (\text{stat}) \pm 0.024 (\text{syst})$, $F_{\rm L}=0.329\pm 0.009 (\text{stat}) \pm 0.025 (\text{syst})$ and $F_{\rm R}=0.018\pm 0.008 (\text{stat}) \pm 0.026 (\text{syst})$, respectively.
