Search for Associated Production of a Single Top Quark and a Higgs Boson in Leptonic Channels /CMS Collaboration
A search for the production of a Higgs boson in association with a single top quark is presented, focusing on leptonic signatures provided by the $\mathrm{H}\rightarrow\mathrm{W}\mathrm{W}$ and $\mathrm{H}\rightarrow\tau\tau$ decay modes. Due to a strong interference of the two main contributing diagrams, the production cross section of this process benefits from a substantial enhancement in the case of negative values of the top-Higgs coupling, $C_{\mathrm{t}}$. The analysis exploits signatures with two same-sign and three leptons in the final state, and uses the full data sample collected with the CMS detector at the LHC at a center of mass energy of 8~TeV, which corresponds to an integrated luminosity of $19.7 \pm 0.5\,\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. Multivariate techniques are used to discriminate the signal from the dominant backgrounds. The analysis yields a 95\% confidence level upper limit on the single top quark plus Higgs boson production cross section of 6.7 times the expectation for $C_{\mathrm{t}}$~=~-1, with an expected limit of 5.0..

Search for long-lived particles decaying to final states that include dileptons /CMS Collaboration
A search has been performed for long-lived particles, which decay to a final state that includes a pair of leptons ($e^+e^-$ or $\mu^+\mu^-$). The experimental signature is a distinctive topology consisting of a pair of charged leptons originating from a displaced secondary vertex. Events were collected by the CMS detector at the LHC during pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 8$~TeV, and selected from data samples corresponding to 19.6 (20.5)~fb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity in the electron (muon) channel. Jet-track correlations in PbPb collisions at 2.76 TeV /CMS Collaboration
Medium-induced changes to charged particle correlations associated with high momentum jets in PbPb collisions are explored by comparing such measurements to pp reference data. Search for Neutral Octo-triplet Particles in the Z+jets Channel in pp Collisions at sqrt{s} = 8 TeV /CMS Collaboration
A search for pair production of neutral color-octet weak-triplet scalar particles ($\Theta^{0}$) is performed in processes where one $\Theta^{0}$ decays to a pair of b-quark jets and the other to a Z boson plus a jet, with the Z boson decaying to a pair of electrons or muons. The search is performed with data collected by the CMS detector at the LHC corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7${fb}^{-1}$ of proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 8TeV. The number of observed events is found to be in agreement with the standard model prediction. The 95\% confidence level upper limit on the cross section times branching fraction, relative to the theoretical expectation, is obtained as a function of $\Theta^{0}$ mass. The 95\% confidence level lower bounds on the $\Theta^{0}$ mass are found to be 623 and 426GeV, for two different octo-triplet benchmark scenarios. This is the first direct experimental bound on the $\Theta^{0}$ production model..
