Measurement of event shapes in minimum bias events from $\mathrm{p}\mathrm{p}$ collisions at $13~\mathrm{TeV}$ /CMS Collaboration
This note presents a measurement of event-shape variables using a data sample of low-pileup inelastic proton-proton collisions collected by the CMS detector at a centre-of-mass energy of $13~\mathrm{TeV}$, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $64~\mu\text{b}^{-1}$. A number of observables related to the overall distribution of charged particles in the collisions is corrected for detector effects and compared to simulations. [...]

Dependence of two-particle azimuthal correlations on the forward rapidity gap width in pPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=8.16~\mathrm{TeV}$ /CMS Collaboration
Measurements of the Fourier coefficients ($V_{n\Delta}$) of the azimuthal distributions of charged hadron pairs produced in pPb collisions at 8.16 TeV are presented as functions of the forward rapidity gap width ($\Delta\eta^{\rm{F}} $) for events in which particle production is concentrated in the direction of the outgoing Pb beam. The sample includes contributions from pomeron and photon induced processes as well as nondiffractive events. [...]

Azimuthal dependence of hyperon polarization along the beam direction in pPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{NN}}}$ = 8.16 TeV /CMS Collaboration
The polarization of the $\Lambda$ and $\overline{\Lambda}$ hyperons along the beam ($z$) direction, $P_z$, has been measured for the first time in pPb collisions at the LHC with $\sqrt{s_{_{NN}}}$ = 8.16 TeV data collected by the CMS experiment. Assuming the largest contributions to $P_z$ come from collective flow, this polarization can be characterized by the Fourier sine coefficients $P_{z,sn} = \langle P_{z}\sin(n\phi - n\Psi_{n}) \rangle$, where $\phi$ is the hyperon azimuthal emission angle and $\Psi_{n}$ is the $n$-th order flow plane angle. Measurement of azimuthal correlations among jets and determination of the strong coupling in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}$ /CMS Collaboration
A measurement is presented of the ratio observable $R_{\Delta\phi}(p_\mathrm{T})$ that provides a measure of the azimuthal correlations among jets with large transverse momentum $p_\mathrm{T}$. The $R_{\Delta\phi}(p_\mathrm{T})$ variable is defined as the ratio of the number of neighbouring jets in events with a 3-jet topology, enforced through an azimuthal angular separation of $2\pi/3<\Delta\phi<7\pi/8$, over the number of inclusive jets within the same jet $p_\mathrm{T}$ bin.
