Advanced Modelling of 238U(n,f) in a Fast Reactor Application / Oprea, Cristiana (Dubna, JINR) ; Mihul, Alexandru (CERN) ; Oprea, Alexandru (Dubna, JINR)
Fast neutron reactors, as a possible future solution on energy demand of human society, based on fission process of $^{238}$U, request new and reliable nuclear data necessary for new generation reactors design. Fission process induced by fast neutrons on $^{238}$U was investigated. [...]

Preparing for the LHC Experiments / Fabjan, C (CERN)
The 'Large Hadron Collider', LHC, is in preparation at CERN. Proton-proton collisions at energies of up to 14 TeV will probe the laws of the fundamental interactions at effective energies of 1 TeV or higher. [...]

Rare Decays from NA48 / Pellmann, I A (Mainz U.)
The NA48 collaboration has measured different rare decays using data obtained in normal K$_{L}$ and K$_{S}$ beam conditions for the ε′/ε measurement as well as a special run with a high intensity KS beam. Recent results on rare decays as well as the future project to measure very rare KS decays are presented..

News from the NA61/SHINE experiment / Andronov, Evgeny (St. Petersburg State U.) /NA61/SHINE
NA61/SHINE is a fixed target experiment operating at the CERN SPS. Its main goals are to search for the critical point of strongly interacting matter and to study the onset of deconfinement. [...]

Direct photon production in pp, p–Pb and Pb–Pb collisions measured with the ALICE experiment / Peresunko, D (Moscow, ITEP) /ALICE
We review recent ALICE results on direct photon production in pp, p–Pb and Pb–Pb collisions at LHC energies. In light systems, pp and p–Pb, no signal of direct photons at low $p_T$ < 3-5 GeV/$c$ is observed within uncertainties, while at high $p_T$ our measurements are consistent with NLO pQCD calculations. The CMS Particle Flow Algorithm / Dordevic, Milos (VINCA Inst. Nucl. Sci., Belgrade ; Belgrade U.) /CMS
The event reconstruction at the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is predominantly based on the Particle Flow algorithm. This algorithm for a global event description uses the information from all subdetector systems, unlike the previous, traditional approaches that were focused on the localized information in each subdetector. First results on precision constraints on $Z - Z′$ mixing with ATLAS and CMS diboson production data at the LHC at 13 TeV and predictions for Run II / Pankov, Alexander (Dubna, JINR ; Gomel State Tech. U., ICTP ; Minsk, Inst. Nucl. Problems) ; Bednyakov, Vadim (Dubna, JINR)
The study of electroweak boson pair production provides a powerful tool to search for new phenomena beyond the Standard Model (SM). Extra neutral vector bosons Z′ decaying to charged gauge vector boson pairs W$^+$W$^-$ are predicted in many scenarios of new physics, including models with an extended gauge sector. [...]
