Research and Development for Near Detector Systems Towards Long Term Evolution of Ultra-precise Long-baseline Neutrino Experiments / Alvarez Ruso, Luis (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Asaadi, Jonathan (Texas U., Arlington) ; Bolognesi, Sara (Paris, CEA) ; Bordoni, Stefania (CERN) ; de Roeck, Albert (CERN) ; Diwan, Milind Vaman (Brookhaven) ; Lux, Thorsten (Barcelona, IFAE) ; Meloni, Davide (Rome III U.) ; Nessi, Marzio (CERN) ; Popov, Boris (Dubna, JINR ; Paris U., VI-VII) et al.
With the discovery of non-zero value of $\theta_{13}$ mixing angle, the next generation of long-baseline neutrino (LBN) experiments offers the possibility of obtaining statistically significant samples of muon and electron neutrinos and anti-neutrinos with large oscillation effects. [...]

First measurement of tW production cross-section at $\sqrt s$~= 13 TeV with CMS / Priyanka ; Ranjan, Kirti ; Bhardwaj, Ashutosh
The inclusive cross-section for tW production in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV is measured for an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb$^{-1}$ collected by the CMS experiment. [...]

MATHUSLA: A Detector Proposal to Explore the Lifetime Frontier at the HL-LHC / MATHUSLA Collaboration
The observation of long-lived particles at the LHC would reveal physics beyond the Standard Model, could account for the many open issues in our understanding of our universe, and conceivably point to a more complete theory of the fundamental interactions. [...]

Level-1 Track Finding with an all-FPGA system at CMS for the HL-LHC / Tao, Zhengcheng
With the High Luminosity LHC upgrades, incorporating tracking information into the CMS Level-1 trigger becomes necessary in order to maintain a manageable trigger rate and good trigger performance e.g. [...]

Jet substructure measurements in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV with ALICE / Fasel, Markus
We present a variety of jet substructure measurements performed in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV with the focus on the groomed jet momentum fraction $z_{\rm{g}}$ in a wide range of $p_{\rm{T}}$ between 20 and 200 GeV/$c$ and jet resolution $0.2 < R < 0.5$. [...]

Long-term aging studies on Resistive Plate Chambers (RPC) of the CMS muon system for HL-LHC / Gelmi, Andrea (INFN, Bari ; Bari U.) /CMS Collaboration
During the phase II of the LHC physics program, called High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC), the accelerator will increase the instantaneous luminosity up to 5$\times$10$^{34}$cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1}$, providing to experiments an additional integrated luminosity of about 3000 fb$^{-1}$ over 10 years of operation, starting in 2026. The present Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) Resistive Plate Chambers (RPC) system has been certified for 10 LHC years operation, at maximum background rate of 300 Hz/cm$^{2}$ and 50 mC/cm$^{2}$ as integrated charge. Geant4 simulation of a Triple-GEM detector exposed to the CHARM field at CERN / Vai, Ilaria (INFN, Pavia ; Pavia U.) /CMS Collaboration
The ME0 station has been proposed for the installation in the CMS muon system in the region $2.03 < \vert \eta \vert < 2.82$, with the aim of increasing the detector acceptance for physics with muons. This region, presently not instrumented, is characterized by a very harsh radiation environment, which can reach rates up to 30 kHz/cm$^2$ and an integrated charge of the order of 200 mC/cm$^2$ over ten years of operation.
