The ENUBET Project. A high precision narrow-band neutrino beam
/ Brunetti, G (INFN, Padua) ; Acerbi, F (Fond. Bruno Kessler, Trento ; TIFPA-INFN, Trento) ; Ballerini, G (Insubria U., Como ; INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Bonesini, M (INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Branca, A (INFN, Padua ; Padua U.) ; Brizzolari, C (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Capelli, S (Insubria U., Como ; INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Carturan, S (INFN, Legnaro) ; Catanesi, M G (INFN, Bari) ; Cecchini, S (INFN, Bologna) et al.
The knowledge of initial flux, energy and flavor of neutrino beams is currently the main limitation for a precise measurement of neutrino cross sections. The ENUBET project is studying a facility based on a narrow band neutrino beam capable of constraining the neutrino fluxes normalization through the monitoring of the associated charged leptons in an instrumented decay tunnel. Double-crystal measurements at the CERN SPS
/ Scandale, W. (CERN ; Imperial Coll., London ; INFN, Rome) ; Arduini, G. (CERN) ; Cerutti, F. (CERN) ; D'Andrea, M. (CERN ; Padua U.) ; Esposito, L.S. (CERN) ; Garattini, M. (CERN ; Imperial Coll., London) ; Gilardoni, S. (CERN) ; Mirarchi, D. (CERN ; Manchester U.) ; Montesano, S. (CERN) ; Natochii, A. (CERN ; IJCLab, Orsay ; Taras Shevchenko U.) et al.
The UA9 setup, installed in the Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) at CERN, was exploited for a proof of principle of the double-crystal scenario, proposed to measure the electric and the magnetic moments of short-lived baryons in a high-energy hadron collider, such as the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
