Analysis facility infrastructure (Tier-3) for ATLAS experiment / González de la Hoza, S (Valencia U., IFIC) ; March, L (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Ros, E (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Sánchez, J (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Amorós, G (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Fassi, F (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Fernández, A (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Kaci, M (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Lamas, A (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Salt, J (Valencia U., IFIC)
In the ATLAS computing model the tiered hierarchy ranged from the Tier-0 (CERN) down to desktops or workstations (Tier-3). The focus on defining the roles of each tiered component has evolved with the initial emphasis on the Tier-0 and Tier-1 definition and roles. [...]

Study of ATLAS sensitivity to FCNC top decays / Carvalho, J. (LIP, Coimbra) ; Castro, Nuno Filipe (LIP, Coimbra) ; Chikovani, L. (Tbilisi, Inst. Phys.) ; Djobava, T. (Tbilisi State U.) ; Dodd, J. (Nevis Labs, Columbia U.) ; McGrath, S. (Nevis Labs, Columbia U.) ; Onofre, A. (LIP, Coimbra) ; Parsons, J. (Nevis Labs, Columbia U.) ; Veloso, F. (LIP, Coimbra) /ATLAS Collaboration
The ATLAS experiment sensitivity to top quark Flavour Changing Neutral Current (FCNC) decays was studied at LHC using ttbar events. While one of the top quarks is expected to follow the dominant Standard Model decay t->bW, the other decays through a FCNC channel, i.e. [...]

Trigger and Reconstruction for a heavy long lived charged particles with the ATLAS detector / Tarem, S (Technion) ; Bressler, S (Technion) ; Nomoto, H (Tokyo U.) ; Dimattia, A (Michigan State U.)
Long lived charged particles are predicted by many models of physics beyond the standard model (SM). The common signature of such models is a heavy long-lived charged particle with velocity smaller than the speed of light, beta<1. [...]

Down Type Isosinglet Quarks in ATLAS / Mehdiyev, R. (Montreal U. ; Baku, Inst. Phys.) ; Siodmok, A. (Jagiellonian U. ; CERN) ; Sultansoy, S. (Baku, Inst. Phys. ; TOBB ETU, Ankara) ; Unel, G. (CERN ; UC, Irvine)
We evaluate the discovery reach of the ATLAS experiment for down type isosinglet quarks, $D$, using both their neutral and charged decay channels, namely the process $pp\to D\bar{D}+X$ with subsequent decays resulting in $2\ell+2j+E^{miss}_{T}$, $3\ell+2j+E^{miss}_{T}$ and $2\ell+4j$ final states. The integrated luminosity required for observation of a heavy quark is estimated for a mass range between 600 and 1000 GeV using the combination of results from different search channels..

Re-evaluation of the LHC potential for the measurement of $m_{W}$ / Besson, N (Saclay) ; Boonekamp, M (Saclay) ; Klinkby, E (Bohr Inst.) ; Mehlhase, S (Bohr Inst.) ; Petersen, T (CERN ; Bohr Inst.)
We present a study of the LHC sensitivity to the W boson mass. We find that both experimental and phenomenological sources of systematic uncertainties can be strongly constrained with Z boson measurements: the lineshape, dSigmaZ/dM, is robustly predicted, and its analysis provides an accurate measurement of the detector resolution and absolute scale, while the differential cross-section analysis, d2SigmaZ/dydPt, absorbs the strong interaction uncertainties. The ATLAS discovery potential for MSSM neutral Higgs bosons decaying to a $\mu^+ \mu^-$ pair in the mass range up 130 GeV / Gentile, Simonetta (Rome U. ; INFN, Rome) ; Bilokon, Halina (Frascati) ; Chiarella, Vitaliano (Frascati) ; Nicoletti, Giovanni (Frascati)
Results are presented on the discovery potential for MSSM neutral Higgs bosons in the Mh-max scenario. The region of large tan beta, between 15 and 50, and mass between ~ 95 and 130 GeV is considered in the framework of the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), for a centre-of-mass energy root(s)= 14 TeV. Probing RS scenarios of flavour at LHC via leptonic channels / Ledroit, F (LPSC, Grenoble ; Grenoble, INP) ; Moreau, G (Orsay, LPT) ; Morel, J (LPSC, Grenoble ; Grenoble, INP)
We study a purely leptonic signature of the Randall-Sundrum scenario with Standard Model fields in the bulk at LHC: the contribution from the exchange of Kaluza-Klein (KK) excitations of gauge bosons to the clear Drell-Yan reaction. We show that this contribution is detectable (even with the low luminosities of the LHC initial regime) for KK masses around the TeV scale and for sufficiently large lepton couplings to KK gauge bosons. Prospects for the Measurement of the Structure of the Coupling of a Higgs Boson to Weak Gauge Bosons in Weak Boson Fusion with the ATLAS Detector / Ruwiedel, C (Bonn U.) ; Schumacher, M (Siegen U.) ; Wermes, N (Bonn U.)
The prospects for the measurement of the tensor structure of the vertex between a standard model Higgs boson and two weak gauge bosons using the distribution of the azimuthal angles between the two tagging jets in the weak boson fusion channel are studied in a Monte Carlo analysis using the fast simulation of the ATLAS detector. The decay channels $H \rightarrow \tau^+\tau^- \rightarrow ll+4\nu$, $H \rightarrow \tau^+\tau^- \rightarrow lh + 3\nu$ at $m_{H} = 120\,$GeV and $H \rightarrow W^+W^- \rightarrow ll\nu\nu$ at $m_H = 160\,$GeV are used in the analysis.
