Measurements of heavy-flavor jets with ALICE at the LHC / Sheikh, Ashik Ikbal (Calcutta, VECC ; HBNI, Mumbai) /ALICE Collaboration
Heavy quarks created in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions are mostly produced in hard QCD processes during the early stages of the reaction. They interact with the hot and cold nuclear matter throughout the evolution of the medium via semi-hard and soft processes such as energy loss via gluon radiations and collisions. [...]

Process control system evolution for the LHC Cold Compressors at CERN / Bradu, B (CERN) ; Delprat, L (CERN) ; Duret, E (CERN) ; Ferlin, G (CERN) ; Ivens, B (CERN) ; Lefebvre, V (CERN) ; Pezzetti, M (CERN)
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) operates using superfluid helium provided by eight large refrigeration units (2.4 kW @ 1.8 K each). These units supplied by specialized cryogenic industrial suppliers are composed of serial hydrodynamic cold compressors based on an axial-centrifugal impeller coupled with volumetric warm screw compressors. Design of Finite State Machines for SRAM-based FPGAs operated in radiation field / Lupi, Matteo (Frankfurt U. ; CERN) ; Giubilato, Piero (INFN, Padua ; Turin U.) ; Bonora, Matthias (Salzburg U. ; CERN) ; Sielewicz, Krzysztof Marek (CERN ; Warsaw U. of Tech.)
For the CERN LHC Run 3, the ALICE experiment completely redesigned the Inner Tracking System (ITS), which now consists of seven cylindrical layers instrumented with 24 120 Monolithic Active Pixel Sensors, covering an area of 10m$^2$ . The ITS is controlled and read out by 192 custom Readout Units, which employ commercial SRAM-based FPGAs and will operate in a radiation field, requiring specific FPGA design to ensure system reliability. Monolithic pixel development in TowerJazz 180 nm CMOS for the outer pixel layers in the ATLAS experiment / Pernegger, H (CERN) /ATLAS ITk CMOS pixel Collaboration
The upgrade of the ATLAS (The ATLAS Collaboration, 2008) tracking detector for the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN requires novel radiation hard silicon sensor technologies. Significant effort has been put into the development of monolithic CMOS sensors but it has been a challenge to combine a low capacitance of the sensing node with full depletion of the sensitive layer. Monolithic CMOS sensors for high energy physics / Snoeys, W (CERN)
Monolithic active pixel sensors manufactured in commercial CMOS technologies revolutionized imaging for consumer applications and are now moving into high energy physics: they have been adopted in the STAR and the ALICE experiments, and are being considered for the most demanding applications like the upgrade of the ATLAS pixel detector. These devices offer integration of sensor and readout in a single chip and low material budget. [...]
