Measurement of $D^0$--$\overline{D}^0$ mixing and search for $C\!P$ violation with $D^0 \to K^+\pi^-$ decays / Ribatti, Roberto (speaker) (EPFL)
Studying flavour oscillations and CP violation in charm mesons provides a complementary and unique probe of possible interactions beyond the Standard Model with beauty mesons, and allows exploring even higher energy scales. The LHCb experiment collected the largest sample of charm hadrons ever, and in 2019 reported the first observation of CP violation in $D^0 \to K^{+}K^{-}$ and $D^0 \to \pi^{+}\pi^{-}$ decays, marking a milestone in flavour physics [...]

Anomaly detection for new physics searches in dijet events at CMS / Maier, Benedikt (speaker) (KIT - Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (DE))
After the discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012, finding evidence for physics beyond the Standard Model has been the primary objective of the experiments at the Large Hadron Collider. However, searches for new physics typically suffer from a trade-off between generality (“model independence”) and sensitivity. [...]

Modern Neutrino Cosmology / Escudero Abenza, Miguel (speaker) (CERN)
Neutrinos are ubiquitous in cosmology and they always represent a substantial fraction of the energy density of the Universe. This makes cosmology a key arena to test the properties of the most elusive particles in the Standard Model. [...]

Anatomy of LHC Collisions - And Future Challenges / Skands, Peter (speaker) (Monash University (AU))
I will give an overview of our current picture of the physical mechanisms that are at play in LHC collisions, and review the current state of the art of detailed numerical models of these processes. I will explain why I believe we are on the cusp of at least two exciting revolutions, and outline some of the main challenges in realising them. [...]

Cool Surprises Near Cool Horizons / Santos, Jorge (speaker) (Cambridge U.)
We will explain why near-extremal black holes can be used as probes of new physics. Our journey starts by exploring near-extremal black holes with anti de Sitter boundary conditions in Einstein-Maxwell theory. [...]

Measurement of exclusive di-tau production in pp collisions and tau g-2 constraints by the CMS Collaboration / Caillol, Cecile Sarah (speaker) (CERN)
The photon-induced production of a pair of tau leptons is measured in proton-proton collisions. The analysis uses a data set recorded with the CMS detector at the LHC at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 fb−1 [...]

Symmetry breaking of non-invertible global symmetries / Aguilera Damia, Jeremias (speaker) (Intl. Solvay Inst., Brussels)
The notion of symmetry breaking has long been a valuable guiding principle to understand the behavior of physical systems at low energies. Accordingly, the Landau paradigm states that the effective description of infrared phases should be dictated by how global symmetries are realized by the ground state. [...]

Recent Results from IceCube and a Glimpse of the Neutrino Astronomy’s Future / Lazar, Jeffrey (speaker) (University of Wisconsin-Madison)
In the decade since its completion, the IceCube Neutrino Observatory has enabled immense progress in neutrino astronomy. Beginning with the detection of the diffuse astrophysical neutrino flux and continuing to the present day, IceCube has continued to further our understanding of astrophysics, fundamental neutrino physics, and fundamental particle physics. Fast Machine Learning at the Edge for HEP Experiments / Summers, Sioni (speaker) (CERN)
Facing increasing data challenges at current and future HEP experiments, there is a growing demand for fast and efficient Machine Learning (ML) techniques deployed close to the detector. In this seminar, we explore the application of Fast ML in accelerating and optimizing ML algorithms for real-time analysis, triggering, and data reduction, focussing on two projects in use at CERN experiments: hls4ml and conifer. Dielectrons in Pb--Pb collisions with ALICE: Light from the little big bang / Jung, Jerome (speaker) (Goethe University Frankfurt (DE))
Dielectrons are an exceptional tool for studying the evolution of the medium created in heavy-ion collisions as they are produced at all stages of the collision with negligible final-state interactions. In central collisions, the energy densities are sufficient to create a quark-gluon plasma (QGP) [...]
