The CERN model of peaceful worldwide research collaboration has been presented to distinguished participants of the UNITAR Executive Summer Programme on Innovations in Science Diplomacy as a potential path towards addressing global challenges. Representatives of CERN and other international bodies based on its model re-opened the dialogue started in 2015 at the symposium “CERN Model – United Nations and Global Public Goods: Addressing Global Challenges,” highlighting the importance of neutrality, long-term vision, and good communication..
