Production cross sections of cosmic antiprotons in the light of new data from the NA61 and LHCb experiments
/ Donato, Fiorenza (Turin U. ; INFN, Turin) ; Korsmeier, Michael (Turin U. ; INFN, Turin ; Aachen, Tech. Hochsch.) ; di Mauro, Mattia (NASA, Goddard ; Catholic U.)
The cosmic-ray flux of antiprotons is measured with unprecedented precision by the particle spectrometer AMS-02 on the International Space Station. Its interpretation requires a correct description of the dominant production process for antiprotons in our Galaxy, namely, the interaction of cosmic-ray proton and helium with the atoms of the interstellar medium. In light of new cross section measurements by the NA61 experiment of $p$ + $p$ $\rightarrow$ $\bar{p}$ + $X$ and the first ever measurement of $p$ + He $\rightarrow$ $\bar{p}$ + $X$ by the LHCb experiment in a fixed target configuration, we update the parametrization of proton-proton and proton-nucleon cross sections and their uncertainties. The new parametrizations for the cross section are used to derive the total source term of secondary antiprotons. Since uncertainties, in particular at low energies, are significantly larger than those on the measured antiproton fluxby the AMS-02 experiment, we finally quantify the necessity of new data on antiproton production cross sections, and pin down the kinematic parameter space which should be covered by future high-energy experiments..

Development of Si Beam Position Detectors for NA61/SHINE experiment
/ Makhnev, A (Moscow, INR ; Moscow, MIPT) ; Guber, F (Moscow, INR ; Moscow, MIPT) ; Serebryakov, D (Moscow, INR) ; Pulawski, S (Silesia U.) ; Kowalski, S (Silesia U.)
The NA61/SHINE experiment at the CERN SPS is undergoing a major upgrade during the LHC Long Shutdown 2 period (2019-2021). The upgrade is essential to fulfil the requirements of the new open charm measurement program. [...]

Recent results from proton intermittency analysis in nucleus-nucleus collisions from NA61/SHINE at CERN SPS
/ Davis, Nikolaos (Cracow, INP) ; Antoniou, Nikolaos (Athens U.) ; Diakonos, Fotios K (Athens U.)
/Na61/Shine Collaboration
The search for experimental signatures of the critical point (CP) of strongly interacting matter is one of the main objectives of the NA61/SHINE experiment at CERN SPS. In the course of the experiment, an energy (beam momentum 13A - 150A GeV/c) and system size (p+p, p+Pb, Be+Be, Ar+Sc, Xe+La) scan is performed. [...]

Forward hadron calorimeter (PSD) of NA61/SHINE for heavy ion studies and its upgrade for experiments beyond 2020
/ Morozov, Sergey (Moscow, INR ; Moscow Phys. Eng. Inst.) ; Guber, Fedor (Moscow, INR) ; Ivashkin, Alexander (Moscow, INR) ; Golubeva, Marina (Moscow, INR)
/Na61/Shine Collaboration
The Projectile Spectator Detector (PSD) is a segmented modular hadron calorimeter currently used in the NA61/SHINE experiment at the CERN SPS. The PSD is used for collision centrality determination as well as for estimation of the event plane orientation in nucleus-nucleus collisions. [...]
