DIPOLE-b: direct probe of short-lived particle electromagnetic dipole moments at LHCb / Henry, Louis (Univ. of Valencia and CSIC (ES)) ; Marangotto, Daniele (Università degli Studi e INFN Milano (IT)) ; Martinez Vidal, Fernando (Univ. of Valencia and CSIC (ES)) ; Merli, Andrea (Università degli Studi e INFN Milano (IT)) ; Neri, Nicola (Università degli Studi e INFN Milano (IT)) ; Robbe, Patrick (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (FR)) ; Ruiz Vidal, Joan (Univ. of Valencia and CSIC (ES))
Magnetic and electric dipole moments of fundamental particles are powerful probes for physics within and beyond the Standard Model. However, these have not been experimentally accessible to date for the case of short-lived particles due to the difficulties imposed by their short lifetimes. [...]

Search for the decay $B_s^0 \to D^{\ast +} D^{\ast -}$ / Langer, Jan (Technische Universitaet Dortmund (DE)) ; Ibis, Philipp (Technische Universitaet Dortmund (DE)) ; Modden, Antje (Technische Universitaet Dortmund (DE))
A search for the decay $B_s^0 \to D^{\ast +} D^{\ast -}$ and the measurement of its branching ratio $\mathcal{BR}(B_s^0 \to D^{\ast +} D^{\ast -})$ relative to $\mathcal{BR}(B^0 \to D^{\ast +} D^{\ast -})$ is presented. The search is performed on data corresponding to 9\,$\text{fb}^{-1}$ of $pp$ collisions recorded by the LHCb experiment at a centre of mass energy of 7, 8\,TeV in 2011 to 2012 and 13\,TeV in 2015 to 2018 [...]

Description of Light Guidance in Dual Clad Scintillating Fibres for the LHCb SciFi Tracker / Bieker, Martin Stefan (Technische Universitaet Dortmund (DE)) ; Ekelhof, Robert Jan ; Manderfeld, Robin
During the LHCb upgrade in 2019/2020, a new detector element will be installed that uses scintillating fibres (SciFi) to detect particle tracks, the so-called SciFi Tracker. To predict its performance, a single fibre simulation has previously been developed with the Geant4 toolkit. [...]
