Characterization of REX/HIE-ISOLDE RFQ longitudinal acceptance and transmission
/ Bidault, Niels (CERN ; U. Rome La Sapienza (main) ; INFN, Rome) ; Matli, Emanuele (CERN) ; Rodriguez, Jose (CERN)
The Isotope mass Separator On-Line DEvice (ISOLDE) based at CERN, is a Radioactive Ion Beam (RIB) facility where rare isotopes are produced from 1.4 GeV-proton collisions onto a target then are manipulated and transported to user experimental stations for studies, notably in the domain of nuclear physics. The RIB of interest is delivered to a dedicated experimental station either at low (up to 60 keV) or high energy (MeV/u range) after acceleration through the recently completed REX/HIE-ISOLDE linac upgrade. Charge breeding of CO$^{+}$ beams at REX-ISOLDE
/ Pitters, J (CERN) ; Breitenfeldt, M (CERN) ; Wenander, F (CERN)
The β+ emitter 11C is a possible treatment ion for hadron therapy owing to its excellent properties in PET imaging, which could be used for range verification during the treatment. A charge breeder is required to transform the molecular CO+ beam, coming from an ISOL-production stage (Isotope Separation OnLine), to Cn+ and to match it with the acceptance of the medical accelerator. MELISSA: Laser Ion Source Setup at CERN-MEDICIS facility. Blueprint
/ Gadelshin, Vadim (Johannes Gutenberg Universitaet Mainz (DE)) ; Barozier, Vincent (CERN) ; Cocolios, Thomas Elias (KU Leuven (BE)) ; Fedosseev, Valentine (CERN) ; Formento Cavaier, Roberto (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (FR)) ; Haddad, Ferid (CERN) ; Marsh, Bruce (CERN) ; Marzari, Stefano (CERN) ; Rothe, Sebastian (CERN) ; Stora, Thierry (CERN) et al.
The Resonance Ionization Laser Ion Source (RILIS) has become an essential feature of many radioactive ion beam facilities worldwide since it offers an unmatched combination of efficiency and selectivity in the production of ion beams of many different chemical elements. In 2019, the laser ion source setup MELISSA is going to be established at the CERN-MEDICIS facility, based on the experience of the workgroup LARISSA of the University Mainz and CERN ISOLDE RILIS team [...]

First steps in the development of the Multi Ion Reflection Apparatus for Collinear Laser Spectroscopy
/ Sels, Simon Mark C (CERN) ; Fischer, Paul (Ernst Moritz Arndt Universitaet (DE)) ; Heylen, Hanne (CERN) ; Lagaki, Varvara (Ernst Moritz Arndt Universitaet (DE)) ; Lechner, Simon (University of Vienna (AT)) ; Maier, Franziska Maria (Johannes Kepler University (AT)) ; Plattner, Peter (University of Innsbruck (AT)) ; Rosenbusch, Marco (Ernst Moritz Arndt Universitaet (DE)) ; Wienholtz, Frank (Ernst Moritz Arndt Universitaet (DE)) ; Wolf, Robert (Max-Planck-Gesellschaft (DE)) et al.
Collinear laser spectroscopy (CLS) has been combined with the multi-reflection time-of-flight (MR-ToF) technique. To this end, a photodetection system has been implemented at the drift region of a MR-ToF apparatus and a laser beam has been sent along the path of the ions that are stored between the two ion-optical mirrors. [...]

In-source laser spectroscopy of dysprosium isotopes at the ISOLDE-RILIS
/ Chrysalidis, Katerina (Johannes Gutenberg Universitaet Mainz (DE)) ; Barzakh, Anatoly (NRC Kurchatov Institute PNPI (RU)) ; Andreev, Andreyev (University of York (GB)) ; Ballof, Jochen (CERN) ; Cubiss, James (University of York (GB)) ; Fedorov, Dmitry (NRC Kurchatov Institute PNPI (RU)) ; Fedosseev, Valentine (CERN) ; Fraile, Luis (Universidad Complutense (ES)) ; Harding, Robert Dale (University of York (GB)) ; Marsh, Bruce (CERN)
A number of radiogenically produced dysprosium isotopes have been studied by in-source laser spectroscopy at ISOLDE using the Resonance Ionization Laser Ion Source (RILIS). Isotope shifts were measured relative to $^{152}$Dy in the 4 f$^{ 10}$6s$^{2}$ $^5$I$_8$ (gs) $\rightarrow$ 4 f$^{ 10}$6s6p (8,1)$^8_o$ (418.8 nm$_{vac}$) resonance transition. [...]
