Probing the dynamical evolution of QGP using charge-dependent correlations and fluctuations at CMS / Chatterjee, Sayan (Indian Inst. Tech., Madras) /CMS Collaboration
We present the first studies of net-charge fluctuations and charge-balance functions using the broad rapidity coverage of the CMS experiment. These types of event-by-event fluctuations are a powerful tool to characterize the thermodynamic properties of the quark-gluon plasma (QGP). [...]

Extra Higgs boson searches at the LHC / Tao, Junquan (Beijing, Inst. High Energy Phys.) /ATLAS and CMS Collaborations
Many searches for additional Higgs bosons, which are predicted by a lot of interesting models beyond the standard model, have been performed at the LHC. Some selected latest results of the searches for extra Higgs bosons at the LHC are presented. [...]

Anomalies and precision -- latest CMS B-physics highlights / Muhammad Alibordi, Muhammad Alibordi (Warsaw U.) /CMS Collaboration
The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment has shown the potential to uncover the details of the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics. In this note we will discuss some of the latest results obtained by the CMS experiment with high precision in the B-physics sector of high energy physics..

Higgs boson measurements at CMS / Bluj, Michal Jacek (NCBJ, Swierk) /CMS Collaboration
This report summarizes measurements of the Higgs boson properties performed with the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC. The measurements presented here base on data from pp collisions at center-of-mass energy of 7, 8 and 13 TeV collected up to year 2018 and corresponding to integrated luminosity of 5, 20 and 138 fb$^{-1}$, respectively. [...]

Nonresonant central exclusive production from CMS+TOTEM / Sikler, Ferenc (Budapest, RMKI) /CMS and TOTEM Collaborations
The central exclusive production of charged hadron pairs in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV is examined, based on data collected in a special high-$\beta^*$ run of the LHC. Events are selected by requiring both scattered protons detected in the TOTEM Roman pots, exactly two oppositely charged identified particles in the CMS silicon tracker, and the energy-momentum balance of these four particles. Selection of electroweak physics highlights from CMS: measurements of triple and quartic gauge couplings / Szleper, Michal (NCBJ, Swierk) /CMS Collaboration
Run 2 of the LHC has produced a lot of physics results from the electroweak sector of the Standard Model. We briefly overview CMS results that relate to measurements of triple and quartic gauge couplings: diboson, vector boson fusion, vector boson scattering and triboson production. [...]

Four tops, SM and BSM by ATLAS and CMS, including EFT interpretations / Bhowmik, Sandeep (Cantabria Inst. of Phys.) /ATLAS and CMS Collaborations
This article presents the observation of four-top-quark ($\rm t\bar{t}t\bar{t}$) production in proton-proton collisions by the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the CERN LHC. The analysis is performed using data samples collected by both experiments separately at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV during 2016-2018 and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 140 $\rm fb^{-1}$ and 138 $\rm fb^{-1}$ by the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations respectively. Events containing two leptons with the same electric charge or at least three leptons (electrons or muons) are selected. Event kinematics are used to separate signal from background through a multivariate discriminant, and dedicated control regions are used to constrain the dominant backgrounds. The observed (expected) significance of the measured $\rm t\bar{t}t\bar{t}$ signal with respect to the standard model (SM) background-only hypothesis is 6.1 (4.3) standard deviations by the ATLAS and 5.6 (4.9) standard deviations by CMS experiment. The $\rm t\bar{t}t\bar{t}$ production cross section is measured to be $\rm 22.5^{+6.6}_{-5.5}$ fb and $\rm 17.7^{+4.4}_{-4.0}$ fb by the ATLAS and CMS experiment respectively, in agreement with the available standard model predictions. Data are also used by the ATLAS experiment to set limits on the three-top-quark production cross section, being an irreducible background not measured previously, and to constrain the top-Higgs Yukawa coupling and effective field theory operator coefficients that affect $\rm t\bar{t}t\bar{t}$ production..

Correlations between anisotropy flow and mean transverse momentum using subevent cumulants in small systems at CMS / Singh, Rohit Kumar (Indian Inst. Tech., Madras) /CMS Collaboration
A measurement of correlations between mean transverse momentum and multiparticle cumulants in pp at $\sqrt{s} = 13 \, \text{TeV}$, proton-lead (pPb) at $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}} = 8.16 \, \text{TeV}$, and peripheral lead-lead (PbPb) collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}} = 5.02 \, \text{TeV}$ are presented for Fourier harmonics $n=2$ and $n=3$. Notably, sign changes in modified Pearson correlators are observed in pp and pPb systems as a function of charged particle multiplicity, but these changes disappear with an increased pseudorapidity gap. In-situ monitoring of the CSC gas gain at CMS / Rawal, Neha (Florida U.) /CMS Collaboration
The Cathode Strip Chambers (CSCs) are multi-wire proportional chambers with cathode strip readout, and they constitute the primary muon tracking device in the endcaps of the CMS (Compact Muon Solenoid) experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The CSCs have accumulated a significant radiation dose since the beginning of LHC operations, and it is important to monitor any possible signs of aging and confirm that the detector can sustain the full integrated luminosity expected at the HL-LHC ($3000 \ \text{fb}^{-1}$).
