Neutral meson and photon production at the LHC measured with the ALICE experiment / Matyja, A (Cracow, INP) /ALICE The LHC provided pp collisions in the energy range $\sqrt{s}=0.9$ to $13$ TeV , p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{\mathrm{S_{NN}}}=5.02$ and $8$ TeV , as well as Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{\mathrm{S_{NN}}}=2.76$ and $5.02$ TeV. Neutral meson production spectra and their ratios $\eta/ \pi^0$ as well as photon double ratio $R_{\gamma}$ and direct photon spectra have been measured in a wide $p_{\mathrm{T}}$ range at mid-rapidity by the ALICE experiment. Precise determination of $\alpha_S$ ($M_Z$) from global fits of $e^+ e^−$ data to NNLO+NNLL predictions / Verbytskyi, Andrii (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Banfi, Andrea (Sussex U.) ; Kardos, Adam (MTA-DE, Debrecen ; Debrecen U.) ; Monni, Pier Francesco (CERN) ; Kluth, Stefan (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Somogyi, Gábor (MTA-DE, Debrecen ; Debrecen U.) ; Szőr, Zoltán (Mainz U., Inst. Phys.) ; Trocsányi, Zoltán (MTA-DE, Debrecen ; Debrecen U.) ; Tulipánt, Zoltán (MTA-DE, Debrecen ; Debrecen U.) ; Zanderighi, Giulia (CERN) We present a comparison of the computation of energy-energy correlations and Durham algorithm jet rates in $e^+e^−$ collisions at next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy matched with the next-to-next-to-leading order perturbative prediction to LEP, PEP, PETRA, SLC and TRISTAN data. With these predictions we perform global extractions of the strong coupling constant taking into account non-perturbative effects modelled with modern Monte Carlo event generators that simulate NLO QCD corrections.. 2018 - 6 p. - Published in : Nucl. Recursive engagement: the public as data analysts and outreach creators / Kalderon, William Charles (Lund U.) /ATLAS Two recent outreach projects are making use of public communities to enhance and build upon the first phases set up by physicists. "ATLAScraft" is a recreation of ATLAS and the wider CERN complex in Minecraft. Recents results on electroweak boson production at LHCb / Sestini, Lorenzo (INFN, Padua) /LHCb The LHCb experiment offers a complementary phase space to ATLAS and CMS to study electroweak processes, thanks to the forward acceptance and the large bandwidth of the trigger allowing low energy thresholds. For this reason electroweak measurements at LHCb can provide unique constraints to the Parton Distribution Functions. In these proceedings the latest measurements on $W$ and $Z$ bosons production performed during the LHC Run I and Run II data taking are presented.. Latest results on diboson and multiboson production from ATLAS experiment / Kharlamova, Tatyana A (Novosibirsk, IYF) /ATLAS These proceedings are presenting an overview of the diboson and multiboson production cross-section results obtained by the ATLAS collaboration using proton-proton collisions at the LHC at CERN. The note is focused on the latest measurements of $ZZ$, $W^±Z$, $W^+W^-$ production at $\sqrt{s}$=13 TeV, of $W^+W^-$ and $W^±Z$ production in the semileptonic final state at 8 TeV and of triboson production at 8 TeV. Searches for long-lived particles with LHCb / Dall'Occo, Elena (Nikhef, Amsterdam) /LHCb Many theories with physics beyond the Standard Model involve particles with a detectable decay length from the interaction point. This contribution summarises the LHCb approach to long-lived particle searches, with some highlights on specific studies performed with Run I data.. A Smart Framework for the Availability and Reliability Assessment and Management of Accelerators Technical Facilities / Serio, Luigi (CERN) ; Antonello, Federico (Milan, Polytech.) ; Baraldi, Piero (Milan, Polytech.) ; Castellano, Andrea (CERN ; Milan, Polytech.) ; Gentile, Ugo (CERN) ; Zio, Enrico (Milan, Polytech.) CERN operates and maintains a large and complex technical infrastructure that serves the accelerator complex and experiments detectors. A performance assessment and enhancement framework based on data mining, artificial intelligence and machine-learning algorithms is under development with the objective of structuring, collecting and analysing the operation and failure data of the systems and equipment, to guide the identification and implementation of adequate corrective, preventive and consolidation interventions.
