Simple model for the RF field amplitude dependence of the trapped flux sensitivity in superconducting RF cavities / Calatroni, Sergio (CERN) ; Vaglio, Ruggero (INFN, Naples ; Naples U. ; CNR-SPIN, Naples) The improvement of the performance of RF superconducting cavities has recently motivated a considerable research effort in order to elucidate the effect of trapped magnetic flux on the surface resistance $R_{s}$. In this paper we show that by introducing a non-linear pinning force in the Gittleman-Rosenblum equations for the RF power dissipation due to a trapped magnetic flux in a superconductor, we can empirically describe the linear dependence on the RF field amplitude $B_{rf0}$ of the additional surface resistance $R_{fl}$. Determination of the Bardeen–Cooper–Schrieffer material parameters of the HIE-ISOLDE superconducting resonator / Miyazaki, A. (CERN ; Manchester U.) ; Venturini Delsolaro, W. (CERN) Superconducting material parameters of the Nb film coatings on the quarter-wave resonator for the HIE-ISOLDE project were studied by fitting experimental results with the Bardeen–Cooper–Schrieffer Mattis–Bardeen (BCS-MB) theory. We pointed out a strong correlation among fitted estimators of material parameters in the BCS-MB theory, and used a procedure to reduce the uncertainty by merging two χ 2 distributions of the surface resistance and effective penetration depth. Two-Layer 16 Tesla Cosθ Dipole Design for the FCC / Holik, Eddie Frank (Angelo State U. ; Fermilab) ; Ambrosio, Giorgio (Fermilab) ; Apollinari, Giorgio (Fermilab) /LARP The Future Circular Collider or FCC is a study aimed at exploring the possibility to reach 100 TeV total collision energy which would require 16 tesla dipoles. Upon the conclusion of the High Luminosity Upgrade, the US LHC Accelerator Upgrade Pro-ject in collaboration with CERN will have extensive Nb3Sn magnet fabrication experience.
