Experience gained about Resistive Plate Chambers ageing from the ALICE Muon TRigger/IDentifier detector / Ferretti, Alessandro
The ALICE Muon IDentifier is composed of 72 single-gap bakelite Resistive Plate Chambers, which have been operational since 2009 in maxi-avalanche mode (discrimination threshold:7 mV without amplification) with a Tetrafluoroethane/Isobutane/Sulfur Hexafluoride gas mixture, undergoing counting rates of the order of tens of Hz/cm^2. Thermal radiation and direct photon production measurements with dielectrons in Pb–Pb and pp collisions / Murakami, Hikari (Tokyo U., CNS) /ALICE Collaboration
The latest ALICE results on dielectron measurements in Pb–Pb collisions at √SNN = 5.02 TeV, and in minimum-bias (MB) and high-multiplicity (HM) pp collisions at √S = 13 TeV with LHC Run 2 data are reported. The results are compared to the predictions of dielectron yields from known hadronic sources and thermal radiation from the medium. [...]

Heavy-flavour jet properties and correlations from small to large systems measured by ALICE / Oliveira da Silva, Antonio Carlos (Tennessee U.) /ALICE Collaboration
The early production of heavy-flavour partons makes them an excellent probes for investigating the evolution of QCD systems. Jets tagged by the presence of a heavy-flavour hadron give access to the kinematics of the heavy partons and allow for comparisons of their production, propagation and fragmentation across different systems. $\psi$(2S) production and nuclear modification factor in nucleus–nucleus collisions with ALICE / Hushnud, H (Aligarh Muslim U.) /ALICE Collaboration
Charmonium production is sensitive to deconfinement in nucleusnucleus collisions. The production via regeneration within the QGP or at the phase boundary has been identified as an important ingredient for the description of the centrality and transverse momentum dependence ($p$T) of the J/ψ nuclear modification factor ($R$AA) at the LHC. Measurements of quarkonium production and polarization in Pb–Pb collisions with ALICE / Bai, Xiaozhi (CUST, SKLPDE) /ALICE Collaboration
Quarkonia are excellent probes of deconfinement in heavy-ion collisions. For J/ψ, a bound state of cc¯ quarks, the (re-)generation is found to be the dominant production mechanism at the LHC energies. [...]

The limits of QGP-like effects towards smaller systems: from Pb-Pb down to pp and fixed-target collisions / Jacazio, Nicolò (Bologna U. ; INFN, Bologna) /ALICE Collaboration
Experimental findings of recent years blurred the frontier between large and small systems. The features attributed to the Quark Gluon Plasma formation have also been found in smaller systems when measuring particle production in high multiplicity events. [...]

Measuring $\mu_b$ at the LHC with ALICE via antiparticle-over-particle ratios / Ciacco, M (INFN, Turin ; Turin Polytechnic) /ALICE Collaboration
The baryon chemical potential µB is a fundamental parameter for the statistical mechanical description of particle production in heavy-ion collisions: its value encodes the average net baryon content of the fireball at chemical freeze-out. The first µB measurement in high-energy Pb-Pb collisions at the LHC was published in 2018 in Nature, and it was found that µB = 0.7 ± 3.8MeV. In this contribution, an improved µB measurement based on the study of antiparticle-to-particle ratios for protons, 3He and hypertriton (3 .H) using the data collected by ALICE in Run 2 of the LHC, is presented.
